I really enjoy the HongQi new design externally, not just the top tier models, think they really nailed it. Internally there's much to be desired, especially the lower end H5 and such(too much touch interface which means lack of feedback). it's a brand I definitly won't buy any time soon(more of a Lynk & Co kind of guy), but it's quite interesting to watch it grow into something (hopefully) quite competitive in the domestic market.

@seankurth43712 жыл бұрын
@@riazhassan6570 Yes, even if their long-term reliability still isn't good, competing in the luxury segment in the Chinese domestic market is the place for them to be. It doesn't get much more poorly-engineered than modern German cars, so if a Hongqi can last a month without going back to the dealer it's better than a BMW. If it can last 5 years without electronics failures that take the dealer 3 weeks to diagnose, it's better than a Mercedes or Audi too. When Lexus came out, it took them less than a decade to get respected because the Germans were too expensive and the Americans were too complete garbage, even though there was still plenty of prejudice against the Japanese and their cars in the late 80s/early 90s.

As a documentary maker of old, may I humbly offer one piece of advice - when you go to start a section that has a cut to it, take at least one or two full steps forward before talking. That gives the editor the ability to cut on the action which eliminates an awkward pause. Your videos flow mostly well but this cutting to a stationary you before you move and speak is not befitting the smooth delivery of your pieces. Otherwise, well done and good luck.

Those secondary driving lights down low never look good on any car. But the rest of this ship seems pretty great :)

This is a nice car and I could see it compete with BMWs etc of the same size. Shame about all those screens though. Would much prefer traditional controls for the airco etc, and a traditional instrument cluster.

I think they have to get rid of the light in the red strip at the front though: in most markets that would be illegal. Which is a shame, because I think it's a nice touch :)

BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Audi, they're all heading towards having screens all over the place, they just didn't get to 3 in the front yet. Give it a year or two and they'll do exactly this. Personally I agree this looks good, probably better than most SUVs, too bad they don't sell them in North America

it is said that they hired the designer from Mercedes and RR to dessign this car. And that is why this one resembles both RR & S-Class

That’s because you didn’t have enough information in the west . HongQi was funded in 1956, it has been a best car in China during that time

( 3:32 ) Those individual rear chairs needs a more fuller carpet backing material to protect the leather surrounding the edge. Massive imposing grille really fits well with the overall look and presence of the vehicle. B-pillar style chrome gives it a slick elegant appearance. Do think it just needs better wheels.

Good Lord! What a mash up of parts and design elements. It looks like a Rolls/Bentayga from the front and side, but an Audi Q7/Kia Sorento at the back.

The presentation undermines the real value of this masterpiece , if they manage to work the small details and make it a bit more well finished it gonna sell like crazy

Looks like a mixture between a Lincoln and a Cadillac in the back, and a Hyundai palisade, and Santa Fe in the front and the Rolls-Royce Cullinan
