When I was a little kid in the 80s they brought me up on stage. The memory is hazy, but I remember beating someone in the kneecaps with some soft mallet thing.

I'm glad my family has done this dinner show before and we enjoyed the entire experience. I could almost justify doing it again, but that $66-75 a person price tag is hard to swallow.

This could have not come at a better time. Currently making ‘Hoop dee doo dinner’ for my dad for his present. Cornbread in the oven 🥰🍞

I sadly have never done Hoop-De-Doo, so I skipped the show parts not to spoil myself. I look forward to doing it though!

Nah, Craig, you didn't spoil it for me. You sold me on it. I knew it was a must-do but after watching this, it's now a certainly-must-do. :)

Sooooooo happy!!!!! Hoop Dee Doo has been a family favorite since my parents went for their honeymoon! That mom with the little baby when they first entered and CLEARLY crying? That would have been me. I admit I got a little emotional watching this. Haha.

Thanks, Craig, for the great Hoop-Dee-Doo video! I have never been but will have to go there for that 🌱 based meal as well as the fun show itself! I think Disney has gotten pretty creative with the plant based ADR foods.

Great video! I've never been to the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue but this was a nice glimpse into what it is like. The food looks really good! Yum...strawberry shortcake!

Yeah!!!!!! Thanks so much . I believe you right on about the changes ..

Fun fact, the original opening number, back in the day, was not this one, but a song written in the 1940's called "Hoop-Dee-Doo" - made popular by Perry Como. I think it is on the you of tube?
@johnkerrison66982 жыл бұрын
oops, it was 1950, and I think the lyrics were slightly altered for the show.
@mikedethlefs63262 жыл бұрын
The other changes were that they got rid of the "Cigar Store Indian/ Cedar Chest" joke between Dolly and Six Bits, and the Texas Ranger did scary claws instead of pew pew guns. The servers didn't do a chorus line when serving the shortcake. It's pretty much 95% of the show that was there pre shutdown.

So wondering how many there were content creators?
@DisneyDining2 жыл бұрын
I think there was about 10-15 invited media and then a handful of vloggers or other site owners. Honestly not as many in the crowd as expected, but one who section of the balcony was cornered off for the show cast and crew to watch.

@@DisneyDining That's nice they left an area for CM'S to watch. I was just curious cause I was hearing lots of horror stories around booking. I couldn't get one till the end of July myself.

I know I am in the minority but this show just does not appeal to me at all. But glad it has reopened for those that love it.

Also the servers weren't on stage for the strawberry shortcake. I have seen that banjo act before but I think it was originally done impromptu...this was before the pandemic...I assume it was so well liked they decided to make it a permanent skit. It's unfortunate they can't make baked beans decent. I find coleslaw and salad repetitive. The food was so much better in the 70s.

While it looked interesting, I would not want to feel like I needed to eat as fast as I could to enjoy the show. I am in general a slow eater so that might not be my thing. No critique here - just saying if you are a slow eater, this sounds like maybe it isn't a good fit.
