Somewhere among the comments section of thousands of videos I either read or comment myself that this band or musician is the most underrated ever. And I can't control my desire to repeat these words again in respect to The Hooters. I admit being from Philly I'm prejudiced in my high respect for this unique group. Saw them many times & loved every show. They were So capable of playing so many different instruments that I think they were never recognized as the top shelf act they were. Thanks for the many memories. And thank you for uploading this piece from the legendary Tower Theater.

@@WaynesWorld69 Funny you should mention Pink Floyd...In 1988, The Hooters played a concert in London, where after the show, Roger Waters came backstage to meet the band and told them he was a fan. This would eventually lead to them appearing, at his invitation to be part of his staging of The Wall Concert in Berlin, 1990...

I don't think any people that turned up at the outdoor concerts really understood the message in the song, they got court up in the music, they rock and rolled and enjoyed the day and moved on. The Hooters are still performing this remarkable song today. The words from the Bible made a powerful statement of the event of the Israelites fleeing Egypt. The preservation of humanity should always be at the forefront of our thinking.

I was in Tribe Clash in HS when this came out but I loved this album even though I had to hide in the corner of the locker room and play it before football games or put the tape in a different pocket of my backpack so it wouldn't be found as I would have been cast out and forced to turn in my mohawk. I snuck out to see them and it literally was one of the best shows I've ever seen. So many bands felt they could just walk out and play while the Hooters performed and they were such a tight unit, still are. Geldof should be eating his words constantly, not many get to make a living from music so there's something to be said for the Hooters doing it for so long.

Loved these guys - so many great shows in tiny venues back in the day (23 East Cabaret, Walnut Cabaret). Then, flash forward to 2017 - I'm sitting next to some guy at my table at a Bar Mitzvah and I'm like, damn, you look familiar. He introduces himself..."hey, I'm Eric Bazilian". Best Bar Mitzvah ever! We talked music non-stop. Was unforgettable. Then, turns out the Hooters (Eric and Rob) put up a private concert at someone's home as a silent auction item at his kid's school - same school my nieces and nephew attended. My sis in-law was one of the winners of the auction and 4 months later I'm in someone's living room in the next town over with about 20 other people watching these guys perform. Effing tremendous! And, turns out Rob lives in the same development as my mother in law. Come on man!
