The Horn Antenna - Lesson 2

This video lesson introduces horn antennas, which consist of a section of rectangular waveguide flared outward at the end so that the cross-section of the aperture is larger than the cross-section of the waveguide. Horn antennas typically offer wide bandwidth, very high gain, and very clean linear polarization. This course was created for Ansys Innovation Courses by Dr. Kathryn Leigh Smith, assistant professor, UNC-Charlotte, in partnership with Ansys.
