Kier are currently delivering a new four-storey 8,000sqm research and development building at Culham Campus, near Abingdon in Oxfordshire.
Culham Campus offers a stimulating campus environment for a thriving community of likeminded people, who are passionate about making a difference across sectors including:
fusion energy, robotics, autonomous vehicles, aerospace and life sciences.
It is a dynamic place that brings together industry, academia and investors focusing on high technology innovation.
UKAEA’s Culham Campus is central to the UK’s fusion programme - which promises a safe, low carbon and sustainabile part of the world's future energy supply - with the arrival of new organisations, construction of new facilities, and skilled people from around the world collaborating to solve some of fusion’s key challenges.
The new facilities will support the Culham Campus becoming a destination to inspire and grow the fusion community.
The project was procured through the Crown Commercial Service (CSS) Framework.
