I managed to catch the first round and the final round, but missed everything in between. And the only reason I got the first and final rounds was because they were mentioned in videos. I don't ever pay attention to the community thing for any creator, it's just not convenient enough to be worth the bother.

Yeah, it honestly pales in comparison to the rest. There were several such maps in the runnings where I thought “surely you could easily find worse ones, these barely qualify”

Our problem with the wall map was that Germany and Britain was in Africa and Japan and part of "Africa" was in Europe.

There was so much off about that map. Like how the country of “Africa” was in both continental Africa and Europe, but weren’t even contiguous. Also, that spot of Japan you mentioned wasn’t even over an area of land, it should’ve been completely submerged in the Mediterranean like some sort of Japatlantis.

To me, the fact that its a decoration means that its probably something someone sees daily, or at least regularly. And that is why it is the worst. Having to see that everyday would drive me insane.

For me, the fact that the map with Anatolia missing looks like some part of a background animation for a news show, while the wall decoration has just blatantly wrong labels and awful borders is why I voted the way I did for the finals. It's too awful for me to give the decoration pass.

I feel Wall Map robbed the first-round win from its opponent because it's a piece of decoration, whereas the other (was it a textbook map?) is more offensive and dangerous because it's supposed to be fact.

I can understand what you mean about most decorative maps/trinkets being really bad, but that one was a case of the more you look at it, the more wrong you see with it to the point of annoyance. And if you know where to look, you can find really accurate trinkets. I got a map of Europe from an encyclopedia from the late 1870s for $20, put a nice frame on it and it’s my favorite decoration.
