Both are modernized adaptations or derivatives of older mythologies (though jttw is considerably younger than the odyssey, it draws on preexisting mythology that stretches back centuries)

Idk i Kinda dis agree, if there's 3, things about wukong Is 1.he's wiiild 2.he stocks up on any inmortal object 3. He Kinda cared for the other monkeys, they acepted him as King, when he was kindnapped to the underworld to gas lit him into thinking he died not only did he smeared His names he smeared the name of as Many of His monkies as possible when his army (of monkies) got scared of him when he shifted into the gigant he felt bad and retreated.

The animatic is for a show called Lego Monkie Kid and takes place in a pre-canon AU, when Wukong has the Cursed Circlet (a torture device that activates when someone uses a specific chant) so Wukong has to obey the jade Emperor's commands or be tortured. The Jade Emperor has just presented Wukong with a vision of MK (the main character of Lego Monkie Kid) in the future (during canon) and then told Wukong to kill the baby MK. Wukong is begging the Jade Emperor for any option that doesn't involve child murder.
