@shrekscumslut13415 жыл бұрын
I would also Even if I couldn't ride a horse I would still keep it (I have a horse with a bad neurological problem where she can't properly move her hind legs but she still walks and trots and it causes no pain ,she's also 7 and even I I can't ride her she will always be with me ,I also 'stole' my old horse that I had to give to my aunt because he couldn't be ridden but I've gotten my best friend back and all I do is brush him but he's still my favorite)

Jesus Christ go easy on the bit! XD I can literally see it in pain in this entire video...
@ThereseMoser8 жыл бұрын
Just because she opens her mouth doesn't mean she's in pain. If you don't notice I have removed the flash part of the noseband that keep their mouth shut, which most riders these days use. I think you would be surprised to see how many horses that would open their mouth if they could, but the noseband hides it. Imagine, when you pull on the bit it is a natural reaction for the horse to open its mouth. An open mouth doesn't mean the horse is in pain. A lot of the time her mouth isn't gaping open, she's chewing on the bit which is a sign of acceptance and relaxation. Of course I am aware that I'm too harsh with my hands in a lot of cases and I'm working on it, but that's a difficult thing for most amateurs especially on a very forward horse like Cara, but I can see a steady improvement in my riding and softness :)She is a very sensitive horse and I promise you that she wouldn't perform like she does if she was in pain.
@SuperSapphireStone8 жыл бұрын
I understand that you are working on that but you got to understand that a horses mouth is very sensitive and the reason they open their mouth when they have a bit in it is because it's trying to look for release. Like at 0:51 for example. Thats a sign of release. And i'm sorry but I do not agree that chewing at the bit is a sigh of relaxation one bit. A relaxed gorse is when a horse actually looks relaxed. Like ears kind of back, sleepy looking eyes, etc. i'm pretty sure the chewing of the bit means that its looking for release and basically wants the bit out...
@angloequine3 жыл бұрын
@@SuperSapphireStone The only thing is, is that chewing is a sign of relaxation. (I know this because my horse goes bitless & in a bit and she chews in her mouth with the bit or without it.) But that's just me! I don't know your horse or anything about you so just a simple fact!
@SuperSapphireStone3 жыл бұрын
@@angloequine You're kidding me right? 😂 No thats the horse trying get something thats hard and uncomfortable out of its mouth. "Relaxation" of a bit is a fairytale.

I think you should try Therese! Maybe you can be a champion in it and also in jumping! Cara would make sure a great eventer! (I can see it!) I ride dressage, but my horse is trained for dressage,cross country, and show jumping. I am planning on doing jumping with her on a few days out of the week to get away from dressage for a few days,soo she or I does not get bored. anyways. Id love to see you try! Also I actually had a question; What is the reason for draw reins on Cara in one of the videos?
