I like to imagine the producers bring James on as some sort of sadistic joke being played on their brutally dry hosts.

Wait a second, there's no studio audience applause, no laughter, and no music. That's why this show is so awkward, it just hit me. Everytime someone speaks it echos like its in a vast empty room. And whenever someone does laugh, it sounds like 3 guys from the camera crew. What the heck is going on here. Maybe its just a UK thing to not have an audience, but daytime shows like this have audiences here in Canada, instead of long shots of silent, unimpressed guests.
@j0rd4ns3 жыл бұрын
Not only that- it's the sheer amount of people they have there. When there are like 15? people all on the same soundstage not even including crew and no ones laughing ('cept the two hosts) it feels empty.
@rocketforthree44793 жыл бұрын
@@j0rd4ns I agree, Also, each show is 3 hours long, and it looks like all the guests stay throughout the whole episode, not just when it's their segment/interview. I get the impression that they're just waiting for the show to finish. Other day-shows have guests come and then go backstage when they're done, or even go home. Instead the guests sort of sit there in silence when the focus doesn't involve them and are occasionally asked a question.

Thanks for uploading ! I’m a bit late to the game, as James Acaster came on the comedy scene after I moved to the US …. but mostly thanks to clips of Mock The Week, I bloody love the bloke. His humour is just so out there, as he has such a spontaneous, train of consciousness way of speaking, as well as a different way of looking at things. Another thing I love is the way he just stares off into the middle distance while he’s talking to someone, like he’s also getting messages from the mother ship ! 😂😂😂 Without someone like Ancaster though, it doesn’t seem like this show (Sunday Brunch) is worth the time of day. Just an honest question though …. Are the two hosts a gay couple ? They certainly seem like it !
