The Hour Has Come - Part One

The Gospel of John is a highly concentrated look at Jesus’ life, during which He performed many signs and miracles. Frustrated by these signs and in concern for themselves, the chief priests and Pharisees rejected Jesus and planned to put Him to death. Discussing key events in the first half of John’s narrative, Alistair Begg emphasizes the evangelistic purpose of the biblical record, written so that we may believe and have life in Him. Only Jesus has the authority to defeat death, as His death and resurrection are the source of our spiritual life.

Pastor Begg's saga should be a lesson to all of us. The folks who sing your praise one day will use you to advance their career the next day. Remember the same people who praise Christ on Thursday want Him crucified on Friday. Do not take people's words to heart, either good or bad, simply say thank you and move on. People even so many so-called Christians are no more trustworthy or dependable. "There is not a friend like the lowly Jesus, no not one, no not one..."

Yeah, and remember Jesus spoke to Peter's seemingly loving words, "Get thee behind me, Satan!" If Peter can be used of Satan, so can Pastor Begg! We are called to come out from among them. We are called to call abominable that which our Holy God calls abominable. You never celebrate sin. That's a no brain-er! And the absolute blinders on professed believers? Remarkable and a sign of the times!

Im Glad Alistair has been given a hard time after decades of faithful service and towards the end of his life.... imagine the reward just on the other side, for him. What an honour, to have the opportunity to suffer for our king. We who know him, know his heart for the lost, and there is no location on earth that is sinful to his hearts mission.

Absolutely agree with you. Pastor Alistair Begg also did a great job in exposing the Pharisees among the true followers of Christ, who to this day continue casting stones long after everyone went home and learned a lesson to workout their own salvation with fear and trembling while God does the judging and the saving of people. 39:43 I just stumbled on this after being led to listen to Ps Begg. Jesus did not come to condemn but to bring salvation through His love. In the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, God sent His Angels, His messengers. Though we know little of what transpired, we know that they came. I am not here either to judge for only God is Right. If God was opposed to going to such events, can you imagine God telling Jesus, “ you can’t go to earth and walk and live with them sinners. “ Though He walked with us and became a man, He did not sin. But came to give His love and life to us sinners. Him becoming man did not mean He approved of our sins. His carrying our sins did not mean He participated in the sin. Let us exhort one another, as we know the season and the time we live in, to continue to do good works in faith that is pleasing in His sight. God is love - we are growing daily from glory to glory to attain the greatest love - charity to all. Loving oone another, knowing our battle is not against flesh and blood. Pray fervently rather than discussing who is right or wrong. Let’s unite in prayer and loving. Love you all.

In this wonderful message Jesus comes front and centre and when it is finished there is no question "Who Jesus is". Only our Jesus can save us. No other can do so. "Jesus said, “Cut ( Lazarus) Him Loose” ..”Let him go.” “Only Jesus will save our friends..only Jesus will save our kids. We might have the opportunity to pull the stone away so we might see the evidence of it. We might have the privilege of snipping off some of the tying pieces of the puzzle that have kept our children enslaved whatever it might be. God working individually powerfully and yet involving us in the process.” 💔❤‍🩹💛

Remember also in the gospel of John when our Lord said "Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you."(John 15:19) no wonder so many worldly people hate pastor Alistair Begg and try do destroy his ministry by attacking his loyalty to spread the gospel of God to those who need it most. Don't be that person who looks for things to disagree on and find ways to drive a wedge between others over things that don't align with your way of thinking, because that only shows how immature you are by trying to elevate yourself above others. Rather than create disunity among people we as mature Christians are to pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another (Rom. 14:19) Uplift and inspire others to grow to maturity in Christ. Christians are called to be peacemakers not disruptors of fellowship (Matt. 5:9; Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God.) Have a blessed day.

The Scribes, Pharisees and Sadducees had missed what he was about and were about to incite the state to crucify the Lord Jesus. But I wouldn't expect the pharisees to see what that was about.

The relationship, on face, suggests God is incapable of deciphering which organs should be attached, and what Jesus himself meant whenJesus answered, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”

"Truth for Life?" Sounds like you need to start living with your trying to preach brother... you made an inexcusable lifestyle breach that has no business in the pulpit, we can only pray that you get a hint, but you forfeited the the legitimacy of a role in the pulpit. The advocation of anything God has clearly admonished as abominable is inexcusable from a leadership position. I would have a sit-down with Voddie Baucham and John MacArthur to explain yourself and then prepare to hear from solid, biblio centric, Christologically correct theology particularly as it pertains to the pulpit. That standard cannot be compromised for anything
