Eating plain white rice once a day?? Bruh i got sinned eating too much everyday watching this.💀
@chaisepomme407010 ай бұрын
I think it's supposed to be only on Fridays -- abstinence required by the statutes -- bread and water. In this case, plain rice and water. Just eating rice without vegetables or a little protein will surely lead to poor health consequences.
@chaisepomme407010 ай бұрын
@@Eunoia-hv3gm Yes, I agree. I wonder if these monks do regular or the occasional fast during intense prayer. I know many religious people fast on a regular basis. But eating only once a day is also a kind of fast isn't it? It's a 24 hour fast.
@zenuno69369 ай бұрын
@@chaisepomme4070 Yes, in the next video they are seen eating other things. So the rice only day is probably their equivalent of the bread only day that the statutes command.

Yes, the one who rings the bell kzbin.info/www/bejne/aWnIfomvZsp7gM0. There are two German monks depicted in this documentary (I'm German myself, so I can understand when they talk in German in the background). The press report linked to by Wikipedia about the Charterhouse Our Lady of Korea said that the one who passed away was 55 years old, so it is the younger one of the two. The fire happened about 3 years after all this was filmed. At the time of filming, he was 52 and I believe in part 1 there are subtitles saying that he was 52, so it must be him. Rest in Peace and thank you for your prayers for all of us, as we now pray for you!

Since the next verse speaks about division in the family, this isnt about a REAL SWORD, nor VIOLENCE, but division. I say Jesus is God, you say He isnt, we are turned agaisnt each other, divided. I am correct though. So repent and believe in the Lord.

Again, stop taking things out of context to spread falsehoods. Read the whole paragraph. Some opponents argued that if God forgave sinners and that gave Him glory, then why not do evil and lies, which is what Paul is describing in that verse, THE ARGUMENT OF THE OPPONENTS, which he then dismantles, so stop quoting out of context. Learn from the Church.

It is allowed and recommended in Christianity to lie and pretend to be anything to mislead people to follow Christianity *1 Corinthians 9:20-22* 20 I have *become* like a Jew to the Jews, in order that I may *gain* the Jews. To those under the law I *became* as under the law (although I myself am not under the law) in order that I may *gain* those under the law. 21 To those outside the law I *became* as outside the law (although I subject to the law of Christ) in order that I may *gain* those outside the law. 22 To the weak I *became* weak, in order that I may *gain* the weak. I have *become* all things to all people that I may *gain* some of them.

Paul following the customs of the jews or the pagans is not lying. Eating as the jews did or eating as the pagans did is irrelevant. What is relevant is teaching them about the Savior. God announced that He will purge the Canaanites due to their practice of child sacrifice. So they got purged like Sodom and Gomorrah, yet this time He used armies. Just like Israel itself was later destroyed by babylonian and roman armies. It-s not genocide, its consequence of idolatry. God decides who goes to the afterlife and when, God cant genocide or murder, He made all life, everything belongs to Him. Also souls are eternal and God knows when its the best time to send someone to the afterlife. If a nation is past the point of no return and only damages souls, then it gets purged.
