@@herohero8620 that is the sad part :( things would be very different, but the Kahn fell too as everyone does. The similarities between Native America and Asia Culture is Very Suppressed and Any link To Native AMERICAN culture ..from any other region of the world like scandanavia and the vikings is also repressed but there are accounts of Indigenous Native American Cultures of the Northeastern Micmac or Algonquin Myths Have parallel myths and stories of the Scandanavian mythology in SOME tribes, you really have to look for it and you can find it..But AS WELL ..the Native American people Belong to the SAME Haplogroup (Share the SAME BLOOD AND RACE) As Indigenous SIBERIAN PEOPLE..HAPLOGROUP Q..And we all know that Siberia is Right by Mongolia..alot of these customs, language, traditions look and sound very very similar..and the DNA proves everything

theyre not metal , theyre just playing their folk music in a way that the west would get or like by mixing western sounds in their music ,theyre lot smarter than their viewers ,haha most of their viewers would even be here watching them if they just did their normal folk music , calling them metal or rock is very inaccurate , the correct term is mordern mongolian folk

A Mongolian biyelgee is always a joy and particularly needed for a proper wake !!! For those who are unfamiliar, a "biyelgee" is a traditional Mongolian dance, originally designed to be performed inside a round, tent-like ger (= _yurt,_ in Turkish). Musicians make up the center, and the other invitees form a circle along the outer edges of the ger, either sitting or standing. All of the guests then move together, mostly in concert and in a manner that reflects the lyrics for any given song. Because of a ger's space limitations, motions are constrained, with the hands and arms used to imitate the motions of Mongolia's great hunting eagles or other flying birds, horseback riding, archers in action, etc. (A biyelgee has comparative similarities to the stylized Hawaiian hula dancing.) Another great biyelgee was performed to The HU's "Wolf Totem" in 2019 --- a sort of flash mob gathered on the plaza in front of Government Palace in Ulaanbaatar. You can watch the dance students' beautifully choreographed movements applied to the song's lyrics at kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKKuqoiDjdZnjJY. Fun!

I Really dig how this band blends the modern and the traditional and have managed to expose a lot more people to Facets of Mongolian culture as a result. I"m a born and raise American. I've never been out of the country and probably never will. Without the internet and bands like this, I would never have seen anything like this. And while I don't know much about the culture and don't speak the language, Music has always felt like an international language and getting to experience the emotions the music tries to convey is still really cool.

@@wildcardgal 76 here. I love all kinds of music and have lots of "world music" on playlists. I discovered Mongolian throat music a couple of years ago, and alway keep my eyes open for more variety. When I stumbled onto The Hu, I was blown away. Throat music, and Hu's work, touches me in ways lots of other music, although very enjoyable, does not. It's like the beats, and rhythms, and guttural throat sounds reach down inside. Although I'm an artist and a wee bit unconventional, but generally fit into the "white grandma" crowd. My friends don't understand my love for this stuff. I just kind of keep it to myself if there's no excitement from others after one or two tries to get them interested.
