I recommend you turn on the captions for context. Most of their songs are translated(contextually) into English so westerners can understand the meaning

My first time checking out your channel and honestly but this reaction little disrespectful like, the dude with the computer screen in front of him was mocking artists that many people around the world respect. no need for that 🤷 he could have just kept quiet if he wasn't feeling it. Anyway... You don't need me to survive ..I'll move along.

We call that symbol Has or Khas symbol in Mongolia. In Mongolia, it is a symbol of protection means it can protect from everything. You can find it in our traditional clothes or accessories. And it is a symbol of Buddhism too. So we tend to forget what it signifies in Western countries😢. BTW, more The Hu reaction, please.

10:35 The word swastika comes from the Sanskrit svastika, which means “good fortune” or “well-being." The motif (a hooked cross) appears to have first been used in Eurasia, as early as 7000 years ago, perhaps representing the movement of the sun through the sky.

I absolutely hated the version of Black Thunder you reacted to. The original needs to be checked out because there is a TON of throat singing in it. Look at the lyrics. They are about how modern Mongolians have forgotten their ancestors and history. Great reaction.

The lyrics are actually a wake-up call to the younger generation, to honour the wisdom and courage of their ancestors, and not remain soft and lazy. That's why the opening with the guys sleeping in, stuffing their faces and watching telly makes sense. It's a battle song, yes, but the battle is with our inner selves. It's such a catchy tune that it can set up shop in my head for days at a time. And the little horse neigh flourish on the horsehead fiddle always makes me smile! 😊

It is also used a lot in Buddhist symbiology. I have watched many Chinese dramas which show this plastered all over Buddhist monasteries. Since the Hu Band has gotten more popular around the world, Gala no longer plays that particular morin khuur (horsehead fiddle) in their videos.

As far as I know, the throat singing is about somehow splitting the tone, so you'd actually hear two tones at the same time from just one person. Very special ancient technique. Together with the traditional instruments it makes them very unique. They also did a cover of Metallica's Sad but True. You might like to react to that as well... (Oh and by the way, please leave your goat to The Sound of Music ;-) )

Your description about the Hunnu Rock is mentioned as ancient Mongol/Turkic empire. I can't understand why it is written like this when the present-day Turkey with Istanbul as its capital city has no connection with the ancient Hunnu empire of Mongolia. If there was any conjecture or connection to the some traces in archaeological and historical source materials, it should remain in present-day Turkey's territories and history. But, any archaeological and historical written sources do not come out of Turkey until now. In the ancient history of Mongolia, it was known as the Tureg (it was much deferent people from present day Turkey people) empire. Therefore, it seems that they are trying to make the ancient history their own by using the same pronunciation as Turk. Turkey was established just in 1924 after the fall of the Osman empire.

If you want heavier and more throat singing, go for Wolf Totem, both their version and with Jacoby Shaddix from Papa Roach! or Sugaan Essena is also a good listen, it's from the Star Wars: Fallen Order game. But Yuve Yuve Yu is the song that caught my attention on these guys, and I'm glad to see your reaction to it!

The commentary is pretty low brow - you embarrass America with your ignorance. It's easy enough to Google what instruments they're playing. The Hu rocks- they're classically trained musicians and the meaning of their music is pretty profound. Disappointed in this channel. Buh bye.
