Takeaways from tonight's episode: 1. No Nick, Steve or Lynne tonight 2. Rich Catino is promoted to regular full-time square 3. Butch in disguise as Evel Kneivel 4. "I'm not talkin' bout my linen..." 5. Johnny the seal... 6. In a shocking surprise we get a Michael Bolton discussion... 7. "Why do I know that?" 8. "You just gave him his card, can we revoke it?" 9. "Yeah, I got this shirt but the band kind of sucks" 10. At the 54:13 mark Ryan's dog joins the show and proceeds to give him his weekly tongue bath... 11. "The cleanest scalp in the Hudson Valley" 12. "It's in the stars" 13. "I had to buy it again, oh Jesus..." 14. The Chris Alo curse 15. Pete gets "the olds" 16. After talking about and around him without mentioning his name, Butch breaks down and mentions John Sykes at the 1:09:34 mark of the show... 17. "Let's just say yeah cause he's in every other fuckin' band..." 18. "Drink motherfuckers!" 19. "I was hoping you took them for hookers and blow but suntanning is second best..." 20. "Pinky promise" 21. All you can eat wings and ribs...

The fascinating thing about _Rumours_ (for me) is that it's back-to-back hits. Every song's a total winner. And yet there are *still* songs that are (somehow) underrated. "I don't want to know" is a perfect example - it doesn't usually come to mind when you first say _Rumours_ to somebody, but EVERYBODY still loves it. It truly is a perfect album.

Some songs that have been swirling around in my head (as of late): Karmina - You for Christmas (Wrong time of the year, perhaps, but it's so heavenly) KISS - What Makes The World Go 'Round (my fav from Unmasked) XTC - The Mayor of Simpleton The Band Perry - If I Die Young Soulsister - The Way to Your Heart Londonbeat - You Bring on the Sun St. Vincent - Pay Your Way in Pain Japanese Breakfast - Be Sweet PREP - Turn the Music Up Yola - Diamond Studded Shoes The last few are new songs that most here probably won't know about. I've been hearing, and digging these quite a bit, so naturally, they've been in my head a lot. Other than things of this ilk, it's mostly classical music swimming around in my brain.

This is a cool category. I, like pretty much everyone on the planet who is into music, definitely can relate to the idea of the show. My first three songs (more, but I will go with my first three that popped into my head), came quickly, and needed no thought to say, "yup". 1. Baker Street - Gerry Rafferty 2. Nights Are Forever - England Dan and John Ford Coley 3. Tramontane - Foreigner. Two "honorable mentions 4. Feels Like The First Time - Foreigner Number 5 is actually a group of songs, but they will forever be lumped together as "one tune". I can never listen to the following songs out of order, nor can I listen to just one. They will always be played on cd (or my digital player for my car) in the order they exist on the album. 5. The Turn of a Friendly Card: The Turn of a Friendly Card, Pt. 1, The Turn of a Friendly Card: Snake Eyes, The Turn of a Friendly Card: The Ace of Swords, The Turn of a Friendly Card: Nothing Left to Lose, The Turn of a Friendly Card: The Turn of a Friendly Card, Pt. 2.

When I was in 7th grade I took karate and this guy who always gave me a ride home would argue about that that song, "I would really love to see you tonight", about that exact line I'm not talking about movin' in. We came up with dozens of answers for what he actually sang. Finally after weeks of guessing he actually discovered the actual lyrics, it was like an epiphany for us. LOL. Nowadays you just google it, but in 1974 that was not an option.

Moonlight Shadow by Mike Oldfield, no wonder it was a massive hit with such memorable melodies, tasteful arrangements and Maggie Reilly's angelic voice.

Yes Sydney! I love "I Don't Wanna Know", such a great song from that album! My personal favorite is "Go Your Own Way" with that one right behind it. And you're right, it never gets talked about which is a shame.

I saw Survivor open for Bryan Adams in 1985. I was surprised how good they were! I love a few Eddie Money songs, but I hate Take Me Home Tonight, lol. Ryan - I celebrate his entire catalog....HAHAHA! KING'S X FTW!!!!!!!!!!! RIP Les McKeown of Bay City Rollers fame. Saturday Night forever, brotha!

I went to see George Clinton and the P-Funk All-Stars in Buffalo in around 1995 or 96. I got a pair of free tickets the day of the concert, and by the time I had wrangled someone who wanted to go, we ended up about an hour late to the show, which was in full swing when we got there. They played for 2 and a half hours after we walked in. Great, great show!

Rainbow -- "Man On The Silver Mountain." Goes through my brain about 3 times a week. Stopped by a friend's house two days ago, he had Air Supply on the CD player. On the drive home the Dead Kennedy's "Stealin' People's Mail" was stuck in my head. Also in my head a lot: Pirates Of The Mississippi -- "Feed Jake."

I sometimes still can't believe it's the same guy that did Stuck in the Middle with You, from Steelers Wheel which I used to think was a George Harrison song.

England Dan & John Ford Coley were produced by Kyle Lehning who went to my college (many years before me) but came back for a masterclass. GREAT song! "Premonition" by Survivor is a classic. In my opinion, their best album top to bottom. Sydney..you always look great! AND healthy! LOL My band used to play "Over My Head" back in the late 1980's. MONSTER song and a very memorable riff! These songs have been in my head a lot lately. "Condition Human" - Queensryche "Beat Of a Heart" - Scandal "I'm So Glad" - Cream Honorable mention: "Falling Off the Edge of the World" - Black Sabbath The three albums I have been listening to: "Spectres" - Blue Oyster Cult "Casino" - Al Di Meola "Live at Jimmy's" - Maynard Ferguson

You need to do round two of this topic Pete with only pop songs. Come on, even metal heads have pop song favs from over the years. Don’t be afraid to admit you liked a Barry Manilow song...haha😁

Sidney, my favorite song off of Rumours is "You Make Lovin' Fun". Christine McVie does not get enough credit for her input into that classic band. My runner-up off of Rumours is "The Chain".

A finger of fudge is just enough To give your kids a treat A finger of fudge is just enough Until it's time to eat It's full of Csdburys goodness And very small and neat A finger of fudge is just enough To give your kids a treat I worked in an office for a year where the purchase ledger controller would whistle this tune at least 5 times an hour. It stuck in my head for many an age and was the reason why I never ever ever worked in an office again!!!
