The best series of the 70s . Who's in their 60s and wishing to go back to the better days like this? I'm 65 . I miss everything. Now I'm a Old Gulf War Veteran 🇺🇸.
@MRF1983 Жыл бұрын
I just turned 40 this year and I'm right there with you. My dad is also a Gulf War vet, he was in the Air Force and stationed at McClellan AFB for 17 out of his 20 years of service. They officially closed McClellan AFB in 2001. The BX was closed last November and the commissary's days are likely nearly at an end as well. It hurts to see the base, which was so much a part of our lives, in the state it's in today. Like seeing a dear old friend who's in awful shape at the end on life support. One of the upsides of today is the ease of access to entertainment of the past through streaming. Shows like The Incredible Hulk entertained us while also teaching and reinforcing the social moral fiber that's sadly not commonplace anymore. Growing up on base housing, I had no fear of my surroundings. Everybody's parents wore cammies and combat boots to work. I miss the squadron picnics, going to church at the base chapel, going to school at Arthur Dudley Elementary and walking back home from school with my siblings &/or friends through base housing. Growing up in the 80s and 90s, I had the benefit of everything that had come before and the cool things that were happening at the time. We may have grown up in different decades, but I know what you mean. If I had a family of my own, I'd want to raise them back in the time I grew up in.
@varanid92 ай бұрын
Well, I wish I was in my late teens again if that's what you mean, but, I can do without the '70s and its cheap shallowness and cynical attitudes. The '80s were much better. This show was really a transitional series going into the '80s, just as Star Wars influenced '80s films and closed out the '70s, dealing the killing blow to depressing fare about sullen cops, disaffected college students, bitter hookers and alcoholic housewives. The '70s is the reason we're having the issues we are today as a nation.

I binge watched the entire series a couple of months ago. I loved this show when I was a kid. However, I do have issues with this show, like Jack Magee being the reason why Elena Marks is dead and never gets called on it; people SEEING David go down and the Hulk come up and not one goddamn person makes the connection; In the entire 5 seasons... the Hulk only eats twice; and then there's a certain sound effect that this show is not the only one guilty of using.... HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET SCREACHING TIRES ON A DIRT ROAD???

If Jekyll tried to find a cure Hyde would kill himself. They'd still mess with each other though. At one point Jekyll leaves a recorded message for Hyde - "Just once I wish you'd let me know where you parked the car. And I wish you wouldn't smoke. It's not like we have one lung each".
