Best track off a fab album, I still have my vinyl copy 41 years on 😁

Dare has never really had the recognition it deserves. Massively underrated.

Absolutly underrated. For me one of the best albums of the 80th....

Simply not true. It was a massive hit when it was released and is still very highly regarded now. It went to number 1 on it's release and spent 71 weeks on the British album charts. It's sold nearly a million copies in the UK alone.

@@Molotovjack its (unfairly) seen by many as a throwaway pop album compared with the earlier stuff.

There were six members in the group at this time. Jo Callis co-wrote this song and you can hear him doing backup vocals.

Simply outstanding. "I hear voices" .. adolescent / 20's angst elegantly captured. Oakey, you were under-appreaciated.

jelt110 and I thought it was about the paranormal lol 😂 maybe because I have been into it I transferred the similarity to this song but it's just rediculously awesome isn't it

Should of been released as a single. I love the Human League Sweet ♥️ s IE Queens Joanne Catherall ♥️ my favourite Human League member. And my hero 4 ever making a dream of mine 2 come true for me to meet up with the Human League. And Queen Joanne Catherall ♥️ is partly responsible 4 the best night of my life so far. If not ever. I even got a signed photo of Joanne Catherall ♥️. And Queen Joanne Catherall ♥️ my hero is partly responsible 4 the best night of my life so far.
This still sounds as great now as when I first heard it surely 1of the League's BEST SONGS!!!.

Their music was so ahead of time that no one has caught up to them yet. They quit before they got shitty. That's wisdom. You do your great work, collect your pay, step off the stage. Remembered forever or thereabouts.

Coincidentally ThePolice released Ghost in the Machine just before The Human League released Dare. Both albums had a track called Darkness. Both were outstanding but very different indeed. Its 50/50 for me, you be the judge. Tracks such as these possess an intrinsically timeless quality and aren’t replicated by the bilge pumped out today.

1:40 brings back weird memories I can't explain, cool video and great song.
The only bright thing in my life is PRECISE and QUALITY pop and disco music where one can ASK QUESTIONS about MEANING of one's existence and ULTIMATE GOAL. Everything else is suffering. More or less. (Translate in Sanskrit).
