How much metal can you remove from an air rifle before it's a Nerf gun? But then again, that's the genius of the clever designs behind inexpensive, mass marketed and highly popular products like the Crosman 760.

I received one for Christmas 1969. All metal and wood. Had a little brass bolt that had a small magnet in the end to hold the bb. Real accurate with pellets and bb's. Also shot those little darts with the hairs. Thanks for the video, brought back lots of fun memories.

Your Soda Can template is adorable. It's also a very useful and relevant demonstration aid. Well done all around.

Had one of these as a kid here in the UK in the early 80's, and boy did that pump system tire out a weak little 12 year old! Lol..... A couple of years ago I got the crosman m4-177 to shoot with one of my sons, which is the exact same gun dressed up like an m4, but the fun factor is still there and pumping it up to ten times makes this now 54 year old feel like that weak little 12 year old again! 🙂

I just got the Daisy powerline 880 rifle on the weekend. I laughed when I opened it but I'd read about how good they are. I've already put a bit of weight into the buttstock and put a better scope on it rather than use the little one that was supplied with it. Would I buy one again for my grandson? 100 per cent Yes!👍🇬🇧

I have an older Crossman 760 Pumpmaster that I have owned for many years.. still practically brand new in the box.. with a rifled barrel. I took it all apart right down to the last bolt and screw to try to do some cool power mods to the valve for more power and with plans to try to turn it into an arrow shooter that shoots crossbow bolts like I have seen a few other people do right here on KZbin.. I was never able to successfully put it back together.. it is still in pieces in the box many years later.. after watching this video.. maybe I will attempt to put it back together again.

British and Canadian air gun rules are hilarious. What are they afraid of?

The Brits are afraid of the muzzies they let flood into their homeland and the Canadians are afraid of themselves.

I bought one for my son back around 1990. He is 40 years old now and the gun is in my closet. It needs the rubber cup on the pump mechanism. It doesn't pump up anymore. I really need to repair it, for the grandsons.

Love your highly informative videos. Had the original 760 with the wood stock. Powerhouse but not the most accurate due to smoothbore barrel. Talking about the Shanghai I picked up one at a swap meet - flea market in Youngtown Ohio about 10 yrs. ago for $15 but it has zero markings. Had in model 27 Gacado in British Guiana during the early 60's. We never got the Diana line for some strange marketing reason like in South Africa too. The premier model was the model 35 & 50 but was a fair bit more expensive & most boys had the model 23.

How crazy. I still have one in my garage.. nice little scope on it. I’ve had it since the 1980’s. Still works and break it out from time to time.. have that little clip also. Thing shoots pellets way more accurately than bb’s

If you didn't know this you can check for rifling or defect by putting a little piece of white paper or foil to reflect light from the breech while looking from the muzzle A buddy had one of those which he lent to me I liked the that one can adjust the velocity a bit by pumping Pretty accurate too, a smooth barrel as I recall Well made fun gun, effective on little rodent pests

Oh, I looked down there, but the bore was so dark I couldn't see much. Once I started running patches through, I found out why.

Nice video. Just getting used to my 362 after almost 60 years or so since my Crosman 140. Something about a pump up, slows down your shots, maybe makes you think abit more before pulling the trigger? Do like them . Thanks again Keith

I had a 760 in 1985 and it was all Medal unlike the plastic ones Crossman sells today same thing with the Daisy 880 was all Medal and now plastic. Hopefully Crossman And Daisy does a anniversary addition of the all medal pump Rifles of the past sorry but I'm not happy with these plastic versions of the past !!
