I have a Mondiale the logo is MMM each letter in a diamond shaped stamp. It looks like a copy the only noticable difference are the stock rivets are diagonal rather than parallel. No information on it that I can find

It's difficult choice. On the other hand there is also an airsoft version running on greengas/CO2 that has the same fps or even more and an accurate plinker for even less the price, also less moving parts that can break. Would the Umarex be completely made out of steel (metal) then it would be an attractive choice.

Well I'm not sure I approve of the minimal packaging. The seller could atleast of used a strong cardboard internal box a few pieces of bubble wrap and such to protect against postage heavy handling.

Go to the Dollar tree and get a pack of 1" squares of Velcro. Stick a square of the wooly side to the bottom of the tube where the pump handle strikes the tube. It will make the gun much quieter.

I will do that. And for my Crosman 140 as well. !!

hi, How is the steel cylinder attached to the alloy frame? glued in place?
@canuckair8 күн бұрын
I've wondered that myself. I can only assume the alloy is cast around the steel tube. There's really no seam to be observed.

I’ve rebuilt a few of them, the bottom nut is a pain in the neck to replace the seals in, I noticed you didn’t do that. :) you need to tap out the pin to get access to the small seals. Also use vintage pel oil in them, that stuff coats the insides of air guns and just seals everything.
@canuckair8 күн бұрын
When my dad gave it to me, he had the kit to replace the bottom seals, and I put them in then - some years ago, but didn't need to be done again. Since I posted this video, I fixed up a pair of them for a friend, and sure enough, the bottom seals really needed replacing.

Love your highly informative videos. Had the original 760 with the wood stock. Powerhouse but not the most accurate due to smoothbore barrel. Talking about the Shanghai I picked up one at a swap meet - flea market in Youngtown Ohio about 10 yrs. ago for $15 but it has zero markings. Had in model 27 Gacado in British Guiana during the early 60's. We never got the Diana line for some strange marketing reason like in South Africa too. The premier model was the model 35 & 50 but was a fair bit more expensive & most boys had the model 23.

Where did you buy the new seal from?
@canuckair11 күн бұрын
I believe I got it from D&L Airgun out in B.C.
@ogilkes114 күн бұрын
Thats a lovely example! The first British Diana's used a simplified double pull trigger system, as used on the pre war models. Its the same trigger system that Webley had in the very first marks of the their Mark 3 underlever (basically another gun copied from a Diana original). At eh end of he 1950s they swapped these out for a basic direct link sear, non adjustable single pull.

Great exposition of the trigger.

New subscriber here. I like your style of presentation as well as the airguns you have reviewed. It's nice having new perspectives shared as entertainment. I feel there's fewer airgun fans nowadays and this saddens me. Anyway, keep up your good work and stay true to yourself. Cheers!

Hopefully Crossman And Daisy bring back the true McCoy which was all Metal Daisy 880s All Metal Crossman 760s and all Metal 1322 & 1377 Pump Airguns . I won't hold my breath on it even though Daisy and Crossman would make a ton of money if they did bring them back because I for one would buy them !!!!!!

Yes, I do believe that's what's used, or something very similar.

One doubt I´ve always had in my mind is: Does the Black Ops Langley have a fake silencer ? I ask because it sounds like a Umarex Trevox (quite loud!) that has a decorative rubber cover of the barrel that resembles a Silencer but it is not.
@canuckairАй бұрын
There's no effort to silence this pistol (wouldn't be legal in Canada if there was a suppressor chamber). It's just a grip on the end of the barrel that incorporates the front sight.

I found one of these in my grandpa's garage, also Canadian made. Original black finish and plastic imitation stag horn grip. It even came in the original box with the instructions, a business reply envelope, and a safety tag. Only thing that was missing was the ram rod. The instructions actually said the preferred pellet for best performance is Crossman Super Pells (which I happened to have). Also, they did include that there was a way to empty the pellets, but its pretty simplistic. It basically says: line up a barrel with the loading port, point it down, and lightly hit the gun till they fall out. Alternatively, if the pellets are sticking, us a small pointed tool, like a nail, and pick the pellets out. (Very caveman way of doing it). The retaining screw thumbnut was really stuck, to the point where I needed plyers to loosen (and unfortunately I scratched the metal a bit). Everything else worked fine, but the seal needs replacing to stop the co2 from leaking when its loaded.

To mount the seal into the zylinder, you can try plastic foil (overhead transparencies) or precission metallfoil

Excellent video. I have one that I've owned from the mid 80's Friend of mine gave it to me and being a fitter and turner he polished the piston and chamber. Also upgraded from the leather cup seal. It's given sterling service having bagged rats and feral pigeons reliably time and time again since it came into my possession. Time for a major service and it' s all there in this video to do that.

I had a 760 in 1985 and it was all Medal unlike the plastic ones Crossman sells today same thing with the Daisy 880 was all Medal and now plastic. Hopefully Crossman And Daisy does a anniversary addition of the all medal pump Rifles of the past sorry but I'm not happy with these plastic versions of the past !!

Had one of these as a kid here in the UK in the early 80's, and boy did that pump system tire out a weak little 12 year old! Lol..... A couple of years ago I got the crosman m4-177 to shoot with one of my sons, which is the exact same gun dressed up like an m4, but the fun factor is still there and pumping it up to ten times makes this now 54 year old feel like that weak little 12 year old again! 🙂

I just got the Daisy powerline 880 rifle on the weekend. I laughed when I opened it but I'd read about how good they are. I've already put a bit of weight into the buttstock and put a better scope on it rather than use the little one that was supplied with it. Would I buy one again for my grandson? 100 per cent Yes!👍🇬🇧

Thanks for this video. I have a 1972 Gecado 27 made in Germany and I received in 1973. It is a Diana marketed under a different name. The only difference I can see is the trigger group. Mine has the 3 ball bearings sear you described and works like the air hose connecter you showed. The trigger housing is spot welded to the main tube. Otherwise the rifle is the same. As a youngster I took the rifle apart a few time to replace the piston seal and to clean and oil it. It does not see much use now, it must be 10 years since it was last used. I think it is time to give it a good service again and see how it is shooting now.

I bought one for my son back around 1990. He is 40 years old now and the gun is in my closet. It needs the rubber cup on the pump mechanism. It doesn't pump up anymore. I really need to repair it, for the grandsons.

I have an older Crossman 760 Pumpmaster that I have owned for many years.. still practically brand new in the box.. with a rifled barrel. I took it all apart right down to the last bolt and screw to try to do some cool power mods to the valve for more power and with plans to try to turn it into an arrow shooter that shoots crossbow bolts like I have seen a few other people do right here on KZbin.. I was never able to successfully put it back together.. it is still in pieces in the box many years later.. after watching this video.. maybe I will attempt to put it back together again.

Nice video. Just getting used to my 362 after almost 60 years or so since my Crosman 140. Something about a pump up, slows down your shots, maybe makes you think abit more before pulling the trigger? Do like them . Thanks again Keith

If you didn't know this you can check for rifling or defect by putting a little piece of white paper or foil to reflect light from the breech while looking from the muzzle A buddy had one of those which he lent to me I liked the that one can adjust the velocity a bit by pumping Pretty accurate too, a smooth barrel as I recall Well made fun gun, effective on little rodent pests

it's a nice indoor low power target pistol. . . there are German versions of this also. . . but the crosman 1377 .177mm/pellet gun with the magnet bolt for steel BBs. Has a power output that is illegal in Great Britain . . and more power means better range. A scope on a 1377 can be used on targets 150 feet away.
