If you read the book, you understand why Katniss was so extremely determined in that scene. In the middle of book, after peacekeepers invade their home district 12 and establish a reign of terror, Katniss decides that she is of best use as a martyr and Peeta shall lead the revolution because he can convince people to follow him.

i loved catching fire, it had the most meaning to me. All we need is a spark to start fighting for whats right! My absolute favorite scene is where Gale is getting whipped and katniss steps in front. I love how they portrayed that in the trailer and she says "go ahead"! SO EXCITED AHHHHH!!!!!

actually, i really enjoy these scenes focusing on president snow, where we get glimpses of the inner workings of the capitol. of course they're not in the books, since everything is in the pov of katniss in those. i'm very excited for the snow/plutarch material in catching fire, i hope they give sutherland and hoffman enough opportunity to showcase their amazing talents.

Watched it and it was Perfect, if you haven't read the books it portrays it so well, many people got annoyed with how it ended but it followed the book well and does it justice, seriously read the books if you haven't or don't plan to, you learn so much more and its exillarating ! The Quarter Quell is what they call every 25 years of the Hunger Games. There are special rules for each 25th. One year it was double contestants.

When President Snow says "Her species hast to be eradicated" means that the 75th Hunger Games (that are special, like every 25 years) are "played" between the previous winners still alive, so yes, Kat and Peeta are attending Hunger Games again (it happens both in the book and the movie)

To all the people who think the Quarter Quell isn't going to be in the movie, they can't put it in the trailers because it would give it away to all of the people who haven't read the books. I don't believe they would take out something as important as the Quarter Quell because that is the main plot of the book and is a major contributor to the third book's plot. They have also already chosen actors and actresses for the characters in the Quarter Quell so there you have it.

you never knew what the president says because the entire book is in Katniss's point of view. The adaptation of the book to movie offers a unique opportunity to see the things that Katniss doesn't see but are still important to the plot.
