Glad you got to try it! The player game trays are a must! We agree so much with everything you said, the game just plays fast and setup is the biggest pita until you get a system in place and then it is a breeze. The interaction book and player customization are the best parts for us and have lead to such great moments! The monster pack and adventure packs (luccanor comes up quick in the campaign) add so much to the monster variety. The rule book definitely was a sore spot in that it explains everything a lot but just isn’t clear on some stuff, which could be due to translation.

I have heard rumblings that it is too easy, but with only my early game experience I was not sure if that was the case or not. Good to have that confirmed!

AQ over Drunagor if AQ has stretch and additional campaign over Drunagor just base. I think Drunagor needs some extra variability. However I would not play AQ at more than 2

the 1-cube-per-action & lose-one-to-recoup-them-all is somewhat reminiscent of gloomhaven's "lost cards" mechanic to me. neat. overall it looks like a great game, thanks for the vid! definitely backing on GF. :)

Honestly. I haven't played enough to really try to rank it. That's the biggest issue w this review, I try to make it clear, I only have my first taste of it. Do I think it would make top 5? No. Would it make top 20? Definitely. Top 10. Maybe.

Game looks cool, I am bit concerned about some bgg reviews mentioning that it can become quite repetitive fairly quickly. I'd love to try it but not sure for that price (with VAT here in europe).

There is another comment that mentioned they are looking at a way to make it more affordable with a pay over time. But yes it's a pricey one. And prob needs an expansion

I have not. I've been working on how to play vids non stop. I did set it up 2 time to play and didn't get to. I don't think it go all in, cause that is sooo much $$$. But if you don't have several crawlers lines up, then I'd really consider the core box, and a monster expansion.

I consider core box + apocalypse + monster expansion. But truth is I have couple different dungeon crawlers including Middara and new S&S which just shows up 😂😂😂 I'm sure you know that story 😉

Just watched a few play through sessions. Quite repetitive , a bit fiddling, cartoon- ish art, lack of minis variety, interactions with minor outcome. Maybe it is the best DC out there. But maybe all others just worst.
