Dobby's death always gets to me because of a conversation between him and Harry in Chamber of Secrets. When Dobby protected Harry from Lucius after Harry had tricked Lucius into setting Dobby free, Harry told Dobby, "promise me something... never try to save my life again," and it was that very action that inevitably got Dobby killed. Some sick foreshadowing that breaks me every time I remember :') RIP DOBBY

Also a lot of people miss it but the Marauder's map was created by Misters Lupin (Moony), Wormtail, Sirius (padfoot) & Harry's dad (prongs bc of the stag potronus). That's why Lupin said "the map never lies" in PoA bc he helped create it

As for the movie: - Harry flying with Hagrid during the moving to the safehouse was actually a smart decision, as Voldemort assumed that Harry would be protected by the most powerful members of the order. He assumed that the Aurors would protect him, so he first attacked Mad-Eye Moody, whom he killed personally, and then chased Kingsley until he was informed that the Death Eaters had detected the real Harry. Hagrid, on the other hand, completed only 3 years of education at Hogwarts and was expelled in his 3rd year for breeding Aragog and allegedly opening the Chamber of Secrets and killing the moaning Myrtle (which was actually committed by Tom Riddle and the basilisk). Hagrid was not considered a strong wizard, so no one expected that the real Harry would be with him. - As for the final scene in the Malfoy manor, this goblin is not the Hogwarts professor Umbridge measured in the "Order of Phoenix". Although these characters are played by the same actor. Profesot is Filius Flitwick and he is not a goblin (even though he has distant goblin roots and his family is related to goblins, hence his short stature) and has a mustache. This Goblin is Griphook who works at Gringotts Bank. That's why Bellatrix asked him about Gryfindor's sword - It is also worth explaining 2 things about house elves because it is not explained in detail in the movie: First of all, house elves are not affected by many barriers imposed on wizards, e.g. they can teleport in places where there is a barrier preventing wizards from teleporting, which is why Harry was surprised that Dobby managed to teleport to Malfoy Manor. Secondly, before his death, Sirius bequeathed to Harry both his house at 12 Grimmauld Place and the Creature as his house elf. That's why the Creature (who wasn't nice to Harry in part 5) was so obedient to him now. Harry is now simply its new master, so the creature is magically obliged to serve and obey him. Initially, Harry wanted to give him his freedom like Dobby, but Dumbledore asked him not to because the Creature knew too much about the Order of the Phoenix. - although it made me laugh a little when you thought that Harry had an elder wand :) (because his original wand broke and the one he got was an ordinary, crappy wand that Ron took from snatchers and the fact that this wand caused such a fire was not supposed to show, that it's strong, it just doesn't work the way Harry wants)..

Yay, finally that last movie reaction. 😍I am sooo invested in your HP reactions! Once again, you guys made really brilliant observations. I am not going further here as I do not want to spoil anything. Another thing that unfortunately wasn't really explained in the movie (like many other essential details that have been left out): The name "Voldemort" became a taboo as they have put a spell on it or like a trail of persecution, so that those who said it out loud could be tracked down. Voldemort knew that only his enemies would "dare" to acutally say his name out loud which is why e.g. those two Death Eaters immediatley entered the café after the trio mentioned Voldemort. Anyway, looking forward to your last HP reaction (and also not really looking forward because it will be the last one 🥲)

i always have to share this part from the book in the graveyard scene when he reads their tombstone bc it’s great. '"The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death" ...' A horrible thought came to him, and with it a kind of panic. Isn't that a Death Eater idea? Why is that there?' One thing I hate in this movie is that Ron and Harry get out of the prison differently than the book. In the book pettigrew was spared by Harry from having Sirius and Lupin kill him. Harry said let the dementors have him which allowed him to escape. In the book pettigrew will die by his own hand. The silver hand that Voldemort gave him will end up choking him to death whick allowed Harry and Ron to escape and Dobby to apparate with them. Basically Pettigrew owed Harry a debt and the hand carried it out.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. I (Sheim) didn’t grasp it at first but all those things are looked at as myths. So it would be hard to believe that a wand of that magnitude would be real and be in the hands of a headmaster at school.

Have you guys watched The Lord of the Rings? I ask because it's bittersweet that you guys are getting to the very end of the Harry Potter series. If not, that would be an amazing trilogy for you guys to do on the channel. But you would definitely have to do the extended versions. Trust me, the extended versions are the way to go.

In the books, during their argument, Harrys the one who mentioned about his parents being dead and Ron replies 'and mine could be going the same way' before leaving. Dont worry too much about ending the series, there are a few other things in this world you guys could watch after you finish part 2
