Movement through the trees. It looks the the birds on your right spooked first, about right in front of those two cedars. Or, they've got some evil hoodoo against you bagging a rare goose. Either are plausible explanations. :) Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jordan, Tristin, Boon and your Buddy in the A frame, very sorry you didn't get the hybrid on the morning hunt. A good try on the jump shoot. A nice crawl across the field, a pity you didn't get him Jordan, we think he was nearly first bird up. We've had them over us, Jordan but never bothered shooting them , they're just too pretty sometimes! Better luck next season!! Hope you and Tristin will do some snow goose hunts. I've stalked ducks and geese before it's not as easy as people think. Shooting a bird on the ground or water that you stalked is just as much challenge as a deer. I stalked and shot a goose with a neck band years ago, it's the only neck band I've seen hunting.

Years ago my Dad and I were hunting a small Island in lake ont. Then, the wardens had choppers on floats and would actually drop right in near a hunter to check his licence. He told us...When you look UP your face shines like a bright like, we could see your face looking at us long before we actually saw you, and it will spook the birds! Moral....Camo paint your face or wear a camo net. It WILL increase your kills.

I saw that hybrid has a snow goose head. Would that count as a white goose for conservation season then?
