3rd attempt on making this video... (there is still some lag in the video, but this will have to do)
a video about something said in the stream (EW) last thursday that I have to correct.

In my opinion, the parker python is the weakest and loudest bow. You also gotta remember that when the snakebite got nerfed, they never changed the description on the snakebite. the loudest bows would be the python, pulsar, and the traditional bows excluding recurves. the weakest bow would be the python in my opinion. the quietest bows would be the snakebite, all recurves and crossbow pistol if you count as a bow. Now, range wise, pulsar and python beat snakebite there, but they are louder and the python is weaker while the snakebite is more stronger. This is kind of a stronge subject to me considering there are some people saying the python is the best. That is just my opinion. Keep up the good work 👍

Parker is weaker, but its not that bad as most people say m8 ;) ... if they make the noise it makes like it should be in shop description it will be an awesome bow (and that built-in rangefinder makes it easy & fun to use) ... so it would be good for the game in my eyes

yes but a lot of players are very confused with this... so they should change that (like said in video... it goes against all logic)... cheers m8

dont worry m8 ... I did that a while back ;) ... but they didn't fix it yet, so I had to make a video (its very misleading for new players)

Any way to get full info on all bows ( loudness, power, including also longbow and all 3 recurves, I know the video is old but hoped to get something more of it

Very important distinction is that although Red Dragon is visually just a skin it does not count for Parker Bow Missions as i found out after spending 10k on it :(

they changed most of that if I am correct ... only the Parker Python mission pack (5 missions), but thats because its brand specific ;) ... but the rest you should be able to do with both bows

The sound you hear has nothing to do with sound that the AI detects. The variables that are used for calculating what the AI detects and what not are not the sound files played when you use an object! Also, there's a wind bubble around your character not only travelling scent further, but also determines how far "sound" travels. Also also, AI spooks depending on where you hit another AI, if it's not dead on the spot and still had to live a fraction of a second it spooks other nearby AI, which lead to that many players had mistaken cause and correlation. Just because a bow shot spooked other AI, although the hit animal was dead on the spot, did not mean that it was the sound that spooked the AI but the not so perfect hit, as an instant kill is not always an instant kill regarding the engine's calculations in the background. I use the Snakebite since the year dot (~5,400 shots, including all long distance shots/3,982 kills, longest kill 164.06m), I also tried the other compound bows, Pulsar and Parker (together 440 shots/ 267kills, longest shots Pulsar 125.52m and Parker 85.05m) and the recurve, but it's neglectable for me, and I always went back to the Snakebite. All of them are weaker, so even if they were as silent as the description indicates or as they may sound (like this neat whiff of a Pulsar), they are also the weaker bows, which constantly leads easier to imperfect kills, which lead to spooked AI nearby - the sound level of the bows does not matter as much as the hit zone on animals matter! - while the chance to instantly kill AI with the strongest Snakebite is much higher, which is why the Snakebite will, even if it was louder, spook AI far less often than the (seemingly) more silent but weaker bows. One may not confuse the sound that may spook other AI with the cause of a not perfectly hit AI. I took pictures of it and made videos about it, Steam screenshots, where I tried to show/prove that it is possible to take out an entire Wapiti herd surrounding my tree-stand without to spook any of them at 5 m distance with a Snakebite, unless I don't hit perfectly, then all of a sudden the shit hits the fan... And that's the same with all other bows. I did that because I've got the feeling that there's a lot of misconception and confusion about how this particular game or rather spook mechanic works. Devs explained it to me once, long time ago, when I reported an obvious bug, when Bisons on WRR would suddenly spook at 120m distance when I used my Snakebite even without hitting any of them, just as if I had used a gun. The bug got fixed, but before that they made assumptions what else could have caused it and so and so, until I repeatedly reproduced it and sent them a video to watch it. On the upside, that way I had learned more about how the bow mechanics work and what all influences if you spook other AI with it or not. There are far more factors involved than sound (noise), such as wind bubble, player status/stance, AI status, AI visual bubble surrounding it (thus also depending on species, some can detect above them, others can't), but none of them factors being the sound file you hear as a player, because it is just a sound file being played and has nothing else to do with anything, above all not with a digitally generated animal that cannot hear it at all. So, comparing the physical sound you can hear is meaningless. You'd need the excat data used for the engine's calculations behind it. Since the other (compound) bows are not penetrating as good as a Snakebite, chances are that's why higher that they will spook nearby AI for that reason alone, while a Snakebite would also fail noticeably more often on small(er) game, no matter how good it penetrates, since to get the perfect kill on a fox is per se harder than to get a perfect kill on a mule buck or Wapiti bull. It already differs significantly from male to female mules. When I have to take out female mules (and there are always many around), then I'm already fed up before I even shoot, as their smaller, fragile silhouette can cause misses of vital organs more easily (just like with roe deer as well), when you shoot at them from angles or above. So, front shot and arrow through and through, or broadside, or I'd rather leave them alone. But even double lung-shots that drop a deer instantly do not mean it was instantly dead, even when the hunter mate says it was 0s injury time (it's not necessarily the value used in the background but just a rounded figure, thus it can still have spooked nearby AI), e.g. try to avoid scapula at all costs, as to hit them too will cause other AI to spook, even when this double lung shot and may count as instant kill, spooking-wise it does not. And when it comes to stronger AI it's not even an instant kill at all, as it can cause 4 or 6s injury time etc. The good thing is that an AI that got spooked by another, e.g. shot AI already, will not spook a third one as well, that is to prevent chain reactions all over the map where at the end all AI would have spooked each other and would never stop spooking the next, as you can imagine how that looked like. But this way you can determine if an AI got spooked by another AI or by you/the sound of your bow: when the spooked AI still spooks another further out, then it was you/the noise or the scent you made or a visual clue, if the already spooked AI does not spook another AI, then this spooked AI got already spooked by another spooked (or killed) AI, but not by you or the sound of your bow. It does not work, though, when there are more than one around you that didn't spook each other but got all spooked by the same single event. Anyways, whenever a spooked AI clearly doesn't spook a third AI, then it wasn't you who spooked it, it was another AI. This also does not seem to be well known and leads to misunderstandings and wrong conclusions (supposedly a bug etc.) when it's observed.

Thanks m8 :) yes I absolutely agree ... thats why they should change the shop discription, because it shouldn't be ;) but its like this for years already and new players have no idea, so if I hear other you-tubers say it and also live on stream from EW itself (TK) ... I had to make this video

@@binkiethehunter7601 I know that, I have been playing since 2018 with the nick of BojanPanic14 .... the descriptions of the arches are wrong and confuse new players, but the problem is that they give more importance to COTW, in fact when in 2019 they said that there would be no updates in the classic thought everyone would switch to COTW but then realized that people were still shopping on the classic they put the new game designer.....

According my hearing: Pulsar-very quiet, Parker-quiet, Snakebite-semi-quiet. Something is wrong either with me or the game mechanic. I like all the compound bows by the way.

but that says nothing m8 ... try the crossbow pistol (that almost sounds like a gun, but nothing hears that... its even way more quiet then the snakebite)

Yeah m8, crossbow pistol is rediculously OP. Even if aim is off little bit it drops a turkey like sack of potatoes. It could also have some special bolts with venom poisoned tips that paralyze big animal so you could finnish them off with other weapon😄.

I had a whole list of ideas for the Hunter Classic ... talked with the devs about it, and they liked most of my ideas... so who knows what will happen in the future ;) but I am not gonna give anything away for now.

Thanks man, for the tip and I'll try this in my hunters. Because what I saw on this videos I'm been make to must noise when I though played in ninja. Thanks man really! I love bows, it's why I play this game. And now the snakebit it's more than red and pulsar? Wtf! I know what I saw and I didn't a test. Just I saw the description to buy more quite. I'm all wrong at all this years hunt. Wtf. Thanks man.

nice my friend, good choice... but I am pretty sure that if the shop-discription was correct, it would be everybody's first love in the game lol (incl me... I asumed from that that the other 2 were more silent in the beginning, so thats why I went with the other 2 first ... not knowing what I know now)

absolutely... but thats a whole different issue and thats been in the game for years now (ever since it became "free-to-play") ... I spoke about that in many older video's, so I asume most people know this ... also this is something that can't be fixxed easily, so sadly we better get used to that ... we call that the "multi player glitch" and it has to do with server lag.

@@Greek_Oak uhmm...ok?!? but like said: these are 2 completely different issues & it doesn't mather if he said it in MP or SP its very confusing for new players, because the fact remains that the Snakebite is way more quiet then the other 2, but the shop discription tells you differently ;)

@@Greek_Oak well, in my oppinion they should actually make the other 2 bows more silent then the Snakebite, that would be more logical/realistic, but thats way more work then just change the shop-discription so I think thats why its still in the game (their goal for classic is to keep it as realistic as possible & I fully support that, so we'll just have to wait and see I guess. I will keep this under their attention, don't worry)... but either way, lets hope this video will speed up that process ;)

they ran because you shot it right under you the other shoots with the snake bite it was farther it did not have a chance to hear it any animal will run if you shoot when they are under you snake bite does the same thing animals hear the snake bite as well if shot under you it scares animals from 15m if they a like a fox deer are stupid and never run unless they are under you the other bows only scare animals from 5m to 10m
