The language is simple direct and clear. You need not spend so much time to give the meaning of the poem . It is important to point out how ruthless the people who have absolute power. Kagwa was a layman but his folly was regarded as a sin. A gullible citizen could have been forgiven. The poem speaks immensely of the kings arrogance. Saw the skull and the skull spoke are alliterations and not assonance. My congratulations on your excellent elucidation of the poem. I. Ganeshan .
