Something I’ve noticed about greed’s native species is that they all share a common theme. Think about it the native species are sharks, snakes, and dinosaurs respectively, and greed is about wanting more than anyone else and not caring about the outcomes your greed can cause. All the animals I mentioned have a stereotype of being mean cold-blooded killers who just want to eat everything aka greed. Plus all those animals are literally cold-blooded Sharks(Fish), Snakes and Dinosaurs(reptiles).

Apparently, for the imp-sona in season one episode three, the one that appears to be half hellhound; if you look closely, you can actually see the imps chin underneath where the hell hounds throat would be. So, apparently, this is an imp wearing a hellhound or fox mask; similar to a kabuki mask.

I feel like both blitz and barb are half succubi. Their mom tilla seemed to look like a succubus but partially mixed with imp genes. So i feel like the imp twins were born in lust but raised in pride. blitz and barb having ref irises with slit pupils instead of the stadard black eyes makes me believe this theory

I think Striker is definitely a part-imp, part-greed hybrid. Yes, desert-like Wrath ring is more suitable environment for rattlesnakes, but he has all the greed demon features: ring pattern on his eyes, spikes on the tail, colorful claws, face type of a lone shark, large tail...

I believe Glitz and Glam to be a cross between a deep sea demon and a succubus My reasoning is the following : They have wings which is a succubus trait They are very sexy and attractive and generally themes towards those ideas (also succubus) Their horns seem to mimic those of succubus So what do you think ?

There are fish with wings like flying fish and hatchet fish they only glide to escape danger and certainly aren’t deep sea fish. The twins look like they are based on bioluminescent fish/eels with how they change color throughout their performance. The wings to make them look like lion fish however, but them being able the fly definitely leans more towards succubus

I agree that some fish have fins that could resemble wings but as we saw they can use them to fly which is why I lean more towards succubus. Deep sea creatures do not need to fly (someone said it already) but yeah I agree we would need to learn more about deep sea demons to be sure

Having wings isn't exclusively a succubus trait though, Beelzebub also has wings. Their wings are likely fins used for swimming that happen to function well as wings. Plus, all examples of succubus hybrids we've seen so far have all inherited the black succubus wings, which the twins don't have. The twins are likely based on mermaids and sirens, which would be why they seem similar to succubi.

One really interesting background character I saw in ep 7 was a imp-hellhound hibrid with the horn pattern on his ears, I think this confirmes that horns are the stand-out for ears since we never see a hellhound with horns or any honed demon with external ears

Second the most common feature of half-imps are their very recogniseable stripes hornes, they don't really have distinctive featutes like the succubi or the loan sharks Third we barely saw any hellhound-imp mix, couldn't this be just the team caching up?

I love the idea of mixed species in Helluva boss, especially with how the rankings work between rings and species. The idea of the envy ring being entirely underwater/uninhabitable for other demons is very interesting. Perhaps the Envy ring is created this way to create more Envy from other rings, as the Envy ring demons may be the only ones able to enter the ring and may see themselves as higher demons compared to others. Also the mix of Hellhound and Imp is very interesting as we know Hellhounds are the lowest rank in hell, and that Imps do populate some of Gluttony as seen in Season 1 Episode 8. I have a feeling that most Hellhound Imp demons stay in the Gluttony ring due to the fact that there are a mix of the lowest ranks in hell, which in turn may even put them below pure Hellhounds and Imps.

Given most of the flashbacks with blitz, pre scar and even a couple post scar, are set in the greed ring, and the fact that blitz still frequents greed, to the point he knows his way around. I actually think blitz and fizz are greed imps. granted circuses are known to travel but the frequency we see blitz's flashbacks land him in greed definitely say it was a major part of his life and if it was mostly the bad parts, i doubt he would go there for coffee. Given it is sinners that hire IMP, and are the main species of pride, those last 2 demons in that line for blitzes poster are most likely not hybrids. Instead they are sinners that look really close to hybrid species.

There is also "Depressed Boyfriend" A member of Crimson's original crew from Exes and Oohs. If you look closely at him he is part shark, part Skeleton Jester. As his tail and hands are distinctly skeletal in appearance.

My general headcanon for now is that Imps are the predominant native species in Hell and can be found in every single ring to some degree. Here's my ranking of each ring based upon what I believe to have the largest population of Imps. 1. Wrath - Pretty self-evident, but it's implied that Wrath is the ring where Imps originated and we haven't seen any other Wrath species aside from Striker, who's confirmed to be a mix of Imp and... something else that we don't know yet, so it's evident that other unknown species live in Wrath. 2. Pride - Based on colonies like Imp City, I think it's fair to say that Pride has a sizeable Imp population. 3. Lust - There seems to be a large overlap between the native succubi/incubi of Lust and the Imps in terms of closeness of species, so I think Imps largely inhabit Lust as well. 4. Greed - There was a sizeable Imp population mixed in with the native demonic Shark species of the Greed ring in Exes and Oohs and Oops. That said, I still think the population between Imps and Shark demons is relatively cut in half in terms of size. 5. Gluttony - There were some Imps shown in Gluttony in Queen Bee, but Hellhounds were clearly the dominant species there from what we were shown. 6. Sloth - I know we haven't seen much of Sloth yet, but I imagine that Imps are a minority species there and that the ring is dominated by the "candlehead" demons like that nurse Blitzo got snappy with. 7. Envy - We officially haven't seen anything from the Envy ring yet, but if it truly is just a massive ocean from top to bottom, then I imagine that any other Hellborn species would have a tough time migrating to that environment. That said, I don't believe it's impossible other species to somehow live there. For all we know, Envy could also have beaches or similar plots of land for non-oceanic demons to reside on.

One thing that always bothered me was in the Beelzebub episode. Is Where Blitz meets an old friend and tells him he just picking up his daughter, and his friend was surprise that he has a kid. But Luna had to state she is adopted. If my memories is right? Why did she had to state that? Wasn’t it obvious? And why was Blitz’s friend shocked, couldn’t he tell? I think the reason why blitz and fizz look taller and different from other imps is because they were born on the pride ring like...the different rings of hell can have different effects on the same species of imp regardless if they're mixed or not

I know that Striker is a Hybrid Demon. He's an imp, but he also has a snakelike appearance especially with his snake sounds and his tail rattle. He seems a bit stronger than other imps since he's a hybrid although I wonder if the Hybrid Demons in the other Rings are stronger too.🤠🤔😈🐍

What mixed species I'd like to see: One of the dinosaurs mixed with an imp, or just one more of one of the hybrids we've already seen in the series, and how being a hybrid affects them. Additionally, I think the imps are tied with Succubi for top number of hybrids in hell overall, for rather obvious reasons. One thing I think is striking, is that I don't recall any Hellhound hybrids, which may have something to do with their place in the castesystem. I'm not counting Beelzebub because she's an extremely special case.

When you were talking about the succubus, it reminded me of the scene in Mass Effect where a human, a turian and a salarian are all arguing over which species the asari most closely resemble, with them all believing she most closely resembles their own. Which made me think that cross-breeding between incubi / succubi is not only common, but very likely encouraged, as their offspring would more closely resemble that of their other parent, and in turn be more attractive to other members of that species. Which, unless mixed breeding was done exclusively by succubi having one-night stands, would conveniently also be the same species with which they would have the most contact through the other parents' connections.

Given that Greed has both the dinos and the sharks as natives, i imagine that Wrath has the snakes and the imps as native. Each ring may have multiple native species (Heck, some may have been native to Pride before being evicted my the sinners) which would explain some of the difference in the deep sea demons. Moreover, the snake demon working for Crimson may be either born in Greed or could be half eal, providing there are eal demons

I actually have a theory that the Sharks are in fact hybrids of the reptiles and fish who speciated into their own thing after they became so common! Greed and Envy have a lot of overlap as sins of desire and Greed has an ocean so both of these things may have attracted a large fish demon population in the past that eventually became the sharks after a little reptile was added to their gene pool.

I remember looking at the background in ep looloo land and seeing a lot of very decorative imps, many with spikes and different themes that were very similar to Blitzø’s. They were also quite tall. I had a suspicion even then that Blitzø was a greed imp, and we can see from the flashback that he seemed to grew up in greed too.

In the greed episode there is a possible imp/hound hybrid sighting @ 25:54. @ 25:55 for a side view. She looked like a loona/imp hybrid to me, but they must be a mix of something to have that maw. The tail could be drawn large to mimic loona's large tail. Striker is an imp/shark hybrid, but if it is revealed he has rattlesnake genetically then it most likely means one of his parents was a serpent hybrid. That still means his parents were an imp and a shark, but whatever % of serpent he possesses has been diluted twice genetically. An interesting note of speculation is the possibility that a large group of snake demons live in the wraith ring. A snake demon could live in a desert or water environment. This means snake demons can even live in the envy ring.

Something I want to add is that in addition to the snake-looking and dino-looking demons we also saw a number of crocodile-looking demons as part of Crimson's gang in "Oops". I'm not sure if they're related as a group in any way to the dino-looking demons, and for all I know they could be dino-demons who just happen to look like crocodilians. We're probably going to have to wait to know for certain, but it's still something that I wanted to bring up.

His face shape, eye patterns, and mustache (which in that form where it is black has only been seen on shark demons) are too many traits for that to be coincidence. I would take he develoepd the rattle snake characteristics just from growing up in wrath. Many other imps have other animal noises associated with them that has nothing to do with their species.

I tend to think Striker is part shark because of his eyes. The cobra doesn't have the bullseye pattern in its eyes like the shark's eyes. Striker's association with the desert may be because of his imp heritage.

Personally if the pride imps have any mixing I would assume it's baphomets. Buckzo has really massive horns and that goatee that remind me of an Ibex Goat which has horns so big it curves up and over. It might also explain that thing on the forehead since if we assume the Baphomet girl at 7:50 is an imp/Baphomet hybrid her candle isn't directly ontop of her head but scooted down to her forehead a bit, and just overtime the candle was breed out but still left a marker of where it would normally go.

During Fizz's big musical number in the recent episode, I couldn't help but notice how the dragon-like demon with the witch-style hat had striped horns AND a female's curves. This led me to believe said character might be another example of Trans rep, like with Sallie Mae back in Harvest Moon

I think dinos are native to the wrath ring, just becuse of the relationship with dinosaurs and volcanos. But also common in the greed ring because of the joke about dinosaurs being oil (it's actully mostly plants of various types)

Just a small theory, what if the imps are from pride. Perhaps the whole sinners staying in pride thing is maybe more legal then magical, but when sinners were all trapped in the pride ring, or maybe even just due to increasing residency in hell, most imps were slowly driven out to other rings. Part of the reason I say this is because there is no clear answer to why pride imps look that way, and to be honest, they look way different than literally any other species in hell, and compared to other imps they very much so stand out. Most demons, other than pride imps, have similar smaller horns like Moxxie and Millies. Pride imps are also shown to not have the distinct leg shape that is shared between most other imps and also the goat demons. Perhaps early in hells history there was a mass migration to wrath.

This Theorie is Popular that Blitz and Barb Part Incobus/Sucubus, even when its a very little Part. Fact is we dont see Tillas Horns full, she is taller than most other female Imps we saw. Oh man I didn’t even think about mixed species. I’ve had a head canon that envy’s ring is full of creature that look like those from the other rings but more fish like. As if they are trying to achieve how they look but can’t get it quite right. Since ya know envy is jealousy and could be jealous of others, but act like they’re better than the rest?
