My favorite (the only) blazblue channel, back with some more blazblue content for us to enjoy. And it's been less than a month since the last blazblue upload, christmas really came early. Can this man save blazblue without destroying his channel in the process? The haters will say no, but then again not even the haters watch the blazblue videos, so maybe we're safe. I watched this on the team spooky channel and man it was amazing. There were so many characters I had never seen before in top 8 like Makoto, Naoto, Azrael, and Taokaka. I hope in future tournaments there’s more character diversity like this

IDK how dafuq Tao got in GF, but I'm here for it. She's the kind of character where others in CF's roster does what she does better (Naoto, Valk, etc). And 3.5K is good, 4k+ damage is when you know the person knows their shit. I'm pretty sure he got complacent/cocky in round 3, but got tilted after that grab into kill. Mai is a beginner character,but she is very high tier. Not top of the top, but even after the nerfs she's still on par with Es at least. No secret about it. Tao 214D tends to be the oki option now. Or at least the one I see most often. Console I think has a 2.5 something frame delay, PC has 3.5. But I am not good enough to notice it or have it affect me. Cactus Carnival is...... good variation for the OST, but not a good hype song. Brazilian CF is another planet. You should check it out.

Watched this set live, easily the hypest tournament I’ve watched (Tao was the first character I tried). Would recommend everyone check out the top 8 vod, super high quality and entertaining blazblue. also small update if you read this jiyuna i figured out jubei oki loops and full circle motions on leverless and am proud, getting 4k off 50 meter from an unseeable 6way mixup behind ball is so disgusting lol

CT will always have a special place in my heart. CT was the game that really got me into fighting games, the Dustloop forums, and the FGC as a whole. It was the first game I ever took seriously and actually learned how to play. This game started my whole fighting game journey and sparked my love for fighting games. I remember I got matched up with D Burst and he immediately left the match because of the lag🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I also got my ass beat so bad by this dude named Seon Panther (Ragna), Blue Garbage (Arakune), and Flying Ve (Tager). Seon Panther was probably the best Ragna I had ever played against. Dude was insane and relentless.

Mai being "somewhat" popular is an understatement lol. Also Tunique got it coming for not finishing Heyheylo early. Once a Mai player figures out their opponent, they will steamroll them with her cheap moves (invincible back flip, extremely fast command dash, huge buttons with extremely consistent conversion, and insane pressure that can easily force the opponent to make mistakes). Even Monarch had to pull out Es against Mai for a reason.

@@shiroufan5401 i think Es is more favored in the matchup but i do agree they fare very well against majority of the cast. I've only encounter issue against hakumen & Es so far. Again, what i see complains about flip are mostly just their issue on leaving gaps on their offense, meaty. Mai doesn't have a DP like Es

youre forgetting every dive kick that comes out of the invincible flip is +7 and leaves mai far enough away that a lot of dps whiff. this character really carries otherwise very mediocre players and has the easiest execution in the game its so frustrating

I was only really decent at playing as arakune when I played blazblue again on switch but I played as taokaka too not seriously or anything just messing around but honestly if you can just land her quarter circle c move over and over and use her d attack well that's enough for casual play idk I found her fun but it's interesting to see the crazy combos and air movement of better players

@@dimex3362 id say its different because all of these characters have a high skill ceiling and there is room for player error furthermore knowing the matchup allows for some degree of an advantage. mai is very good at all levels of play and has the lowest skill ceiling in the game id say. there is no nuance to the character. her execution is easy, she rewards self-centered playstyles and makes other characters in the same niche obsolete because they have to work harder for less reward. the game gains nothing from adding her and the people who play her are a monolyth in both personality and playstyle
