This is very interesting. You have a very soothing voice. I listen to this while I was going to sleep and I was out like a light. Not because you're boring but because your voice is just so perfectly modulator and soothing. I'll have to listen to this when I'm alert some day but this will be my go to video for to try to relax

Very nice explanation of what we know of the HPA axis. Heres a spanner in the works though, which everyone will find a surprise. Cortisol does NOT have anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects, it has an effect opposite to this. Everyone has this wrong including ALL of the scientific community. Why is cortisol and other glucocorticoids used for this purpose then, you might be asking. The answer is simple, in higher doses and this is something doctors always aim for, or the high potency analogues, stop the cells from responding to the glucocorticoid signal and you end up with suppressive effects.

I think I have already explained my arguement as above, buts its also whats evident in clincal practice. Higher doses are used for both immediate and longer term immunosupression. Im guessing from everything I have seen that a natural or low dose has immune activating properties.

Something like a positive and a negative regulation? Cz that is concentration dependent.

hey thank you for the awesome video, it was really helpful. Could you suggest any helpful literature on this topic? Maybe also literature which explains the SAM (sympatho-adrenomedullary system)? Thank you
