I heard about this game before I really even got to play minecraft. I had watched 100s of youtube videos on minecraft. Then I see the trailer I think a few months after it was released. I don't know what I saw in it but from the moment I saw the trailer I knew something was different about it. Where minecraft is static hytale seemed alive with everything moving, the wind, the trees, the creatures and monsters. Ever since I have waited, not that we can do anything else but still. I never forgot and never quit talking about it. I don't know what drew me to minecraft but whatever it was hytale has in 10 fold.

I hope they give specifically chosen developers access to the source code of hytale, so they can not only mod, but also design their own game from scratch and add shaders etc. that would prevent Hypixel studios from doing the same thing that Mojang did that initially motivated Hypixel to make hytale, so no one feels restricted when it comes to modding

I watched the entire video and I feel so proud to say that I can actually relate so much its insane, When the announcement trailer released I was 14 years old. This game has inspired me in such a way that I am currently 19 and in college for Software Engineering, I really want to be a part of the team at Hypixel Studios and I want to help build the game that I have always dreamed of playing, A game where peoples ideas and creations can be brought to life, A game which people can enjoy and have fun with their friends, A game with developers who truly care and appreciate their community.

I've been part of this community since the day the Hytale trailer dropped. I can still vividly remember the immense excitement I had when I first saw it, and that excitement still drives me to this day, but I've recently realized just how much we've accomplished together as a community eagerly anticipating a game that has yet to be released. It's something truly special that should be cherished. The fanart, the stories, and the friendships we've forged through our shared passion for this game are incredible, We've managed to stay together in a way that few communities do! Connor, the talk you gave expressed exactly what I've been feeling, that even if by some chance, Hytale never comes out, I will still be immensely grateful to have been part of this community. 10/10 speech, would listen again. :)

Just watch the whole talk. Simple, personal and narrow to the point: Our passion and love for this jewel of the crown. I am really impressed with Hypixel that they even did this. If it was any other development studio, they would not do this. I hope that they never lose the soul of their company to Riot, greed and investors. Because when Hytale becomes as successful as we hope it will, the temptation to get greedy for short term financial gain will be there. Lets keep their feet to the fire to not end up like Blizzard.

Oh, it's GOING to happen with Tencent hovering over Riots shoulders...if they want their investment back, now that the Chinese economy isn't doing that great, they're going to start making demands. Although they could do a Path of Exile and simply self-host their own Shard for whatever greed they have planned (since I doubt they're going to want their citizens exposed to the soon to be slew of 'diversity' the game is going to have)

Controversial opinion: I'm all right with the team taking 10 years to finish the game. They've clearly upscaled a lot, the team is now over 100 devs and they've totally redone their engine.

If you go to the hiring page on Hytale's website, u can see that a studio recruiter on a 12 month FTC is being hired, studio recruiter meaning that need to hire someone to make the interview process to go smoothly, and with them being specifically on a 12 month FTC means that the interview process needs to only go on for another 12 months or so. Do you think this could mean a potential beta/release within or after this 12 month time frame as they only need a hiring process to run a lot more smoothly/faster for this time frame? Also, they are hiring a senior software engineer for CONTINUOUS DELIVERY. Which is a software process used to move code from release to production. Could this also mean that they are trying to move the code into a release phase?

I have a question about Hytale. How is the Hytale team planning on fighting the invariable Pay-to-Win servers that will eventually come? is the team actually going to fight them unlike Mojang? TheMisterEpic, a Minecraft KZbin creator has done a lot of videos on this problem. Also the problem with duplication of items. How will you deal with that? Is it up-to the server owner or up to Hytale and Riot? I would suggest getting some white hats before release.
