I know the world seems a bit scary at the moment so take half hour to escape with a cosy travel vlog. Firstly those saying I should have got a new coat. YOU WERE RIGHT! Lesson learnt! Also someone needs to count up the times I say "it's snowing" it must be in the hundreds. Iceland is utterly beautiful and after a stormy start we had one of the best holidays of my life. As an Icelander I have to say that February is usually the stormiest month of the year and this year we have had a bunch of really bad ones and much more snow than usual in the capital area, and yes always be prepared for it to rain sideways no matter what time a year it is. 😉 The hotel you stayed at is fairly new and has a reputation for being very stylish. And as for the candy question, it depends on whether you guys like salty liquorice or not we have loads of sweets where we mix liquorice wit chocolate and other things (most Icelanders love it but we grow up with it) Glad to hear you liked it here despite the weather you got.

Summers in Iceland are usually milder than February. I love so many things here, one of the not so hidden secrets. Is that all pols here are like a mini spa, if you pick a moderately large one there will be several hot tubs and at least ne bigger slide for kids (or anyone really). But definitely bring rain gear no matter what time of year it is, sideways rain is a thing in any season 🌧🌞

Loved this. As a wheelchair user who usually travels alone Iceland isn’t a place I’d manage. But it definitely is one of those destinations I’d love to visit, so a big thanks for the tag along. I hope you all had the best time x

Marianne, I’m a wheelchair user too. I haven’t traveled at all for years, since being single (for the past 10yrs) I haven’t got the confidence to travel abroad on my own. I too would love to go to Iceland 🇮🇸 or Norway 🇳🇴. Always want to go to the least accessible places! 🤣🤣 xx

@@onedogandabag9606 Ah, I love the freedom of travelling alone. These pandemic times have thoroughly put the stoppers on it recently, but I will definitely be getting back to it once I can. If you’re ever looking for somewhere more accessible Dublin is fabulous, as is New York. Both great for dipping the toes in and gaining confidence x

You may want to google. But the day after we left I am fairly sure there are no requirements now in Iceland. Masks will have gone. But you may need to do one to get on the plane. They may require one rather than the country. We had to do a lateral flow in front of someone to go on Jet2 x

Everywhere in Iceland is English. They speak the second language amazingly!
