When OFB came out, I started playing with Malcolm Landgraab,III and realized his perfect partner to be Dina. While I do normally marry her off to Mortimer first, I near always ship her with Malcolm (to suit the game's insinuation of her being a gold digger), and she easily turns all his businesses into a success.

In my game, Dina married Mortimer and they had a daughter before Mortimer had an unfortunate accident in the pool. Nina married into my legacy family and had five kids. As a stay at home mom, she took very good care of her kids.

As a kid, Nina and Dina were my favourites! I've liked Nina more. And in my gameplay(as a kid, I remind you), Dina and Mortimer had a son which was taken away from them but luckily, Nina adopted him. Seeing Nina and Dina happy makes my heart grow.

Whenever I play with Dina and Nina, I have Dina marry Mortimer(she's still banging Don on the side) Dina ends up getting pregnant by Don and poor Mortimer finds out LOL I had a mode installed my game where if my sim has a high logic skill they can find out if the baby is theirs or not! Its a very fun mod and makes things very interesting. After Dina and Mortimer break up I have the sister run there own business, either a hair salon or selling furniture. I will have Nina try to find love on her own I usually pare her up with a random townie or whoever has enough chemistry with her. Then I will have Dina move on from Mortimer and have her marry Malcolm Landgraab because let's face it the girl loves herself a rich sim!

Would love to see the Oldies and Burbs join the fun. I had Herb and Coral adopt another kid to give them something to do 😂 Maybe do a round of the teens that went to college as well? I do love me some Strangetown, though. So I look forward to whatever you end up doing next either way lol. I've already shared what happened to Dina for me but Nina ended up having several boyfriends and never settled down. She did however decide to try for baby with two different townies and had 2 more kids in addition to Don's. One of them inherited the alien skin and I love him hahaha. She went into the slacker career and has been stuck at level 9 for ages (mod that makes it much harder to promote with no college degree past level 5).

I certainly plan on doing a college episode (or two) with the Pleasantview young adults, I think it’ll mark the beginning of the 2nd “season” of the Pleasantview series. I might do Strangetown inbetween though, I haven’t quite figured out the order yet, everyone will get their turn eventually though haha I feel like Nina in my game might end up similarly, I can’t see her settling down just yet

I sometimes would get her pregnant with their baby, but their marriage in my game would feel as if they were living seperate lives. They just were never interested in each other. Dina constantly spins wants for Don after they marry in my game

Great video! I would like to see the Burbs Family. Personally, I like that while John is more of a housemaker (since they have family aspirations), Jennifer seems more of a career family. Lucy growing can be interesting imo. Oldies could be interesting since it looks like Marie-Sue went living with them from the Pleasent family video. With that just to say that I would like to see them! Sorry for my terrible English.

I remember not liking the Caliente’s that much as a kid, but now I love them since they have the potential to add so much drama to the game I love that Dina became a businesswoman here! I understand people thinking she is just a gold digger, but I’ve pictured her as a smart person using that money like an investment to further her own ambitions. In my game she usually has a lifetime want to get to the top of the business career or own multiple businesses, so I see her as someone who is hardworking and wants financial success. I think you really achieved that here. It was also fun seeing Nina with Malcolm. I normally try to avoid getting sims involved with downtown/bluewater sims but I could totally see Nina getting with him! Especially if she were the type to follow in her sisters footsteps and marry a rich sim too 👀 I’m excited to see future rounds with each family (if you decide to do more than one round) and see just how different your save becomes compared to mine In my recent save Dina married Mortimer, stole Don from Cassandra (who later married Darren), then married him and had a kid with him. Don brought 40k for Dina to use, quit his job, and took care of the baby while Dina worked and handled 2 businesses; she did so well that the Caliente family ended up becoming the 2nd richest in Pleasantview (~250k by the time she died). She became one of my favorite sims and was truly a girlboss during her life. Dina’s daughter, Demi, is quite similar to her and I have high hopes for the financial future of the Caliente family Nina also did well! She got to the top of the athletic career, fulfilling her lifetime wish. She had 3 lovers, but settled down and was a good stepmom after marrying Brandi. She took the Broke name, but they certainly weren’t broke anymore with 60k in the bank! Brandi was able to have a cute home bakery business and the house renovation of her dreams. I plan on Brandi’s 3rd child, who I named Trip, inheriting the house/family business as he was a great help in running it

Dina is my favourite sim so I give her the life she wants. She gets married to Morty, has his child and becomes friends with Alex. She may not love Morty the usual way but I'm sure she deeply admires and respects him which results in at least some amorousness. And after Morty is gone she remains a good mother and makes sure Alex and their common with Morty child grow up well.

In my game. SIsters are arguing about Don and I make them hate each other because of that. I give Nina a redemption arc where she is pregnant with Don and he doesn't want that child so Nina has to do it all by herself learning responsibility and what's the most important. With Dina...I make her plan work, she engages with Mortimer and marries him and she moves to Goth's house, where she gives birth to a child with Mortimer. At first she doesn't care at all about Mortimer and child, all she cares about is money, but then she makes friend with Cassandra and starts to realize that she loves Mortimer and her child. I forgot to mention when she is in "money is all i care about" era, she obviously is cheating Mortimer with random hot guys for ONS (One night stands). So yeah, when everything is great Mortimer finds out that Dina was cheating on him several times an divorces her and wants to take care of their child without her. Reminder that then Dina actually loves Mortimer and the child. And as the most famous and the richest sim in town he won it at court, because as we all know, with money you can everything. Dina is homeless, because Nina doesn't want to know her anymore, she has a new better life without her, so Dina rents a small, poor studio apartment. She misses her child but she knows that she can't do anything about it. She can't count on her sister neither. Dina is depressed, she can't live that way anymore, has several mental breakdowns and commits suicide. I know, that's wild, but I don't like her 😭😭😭

Another awesome perspective of the Calientes. I normally have Nina and Don always returning to one another (as my head canon sees them as each other's true love), and marrying in their elder (with several flings in between). Most often, I have Dina marry Mortimer (sometimes they do have a baby, sometimes not), then she ends up marrying Malcolm, and she turns his businesses into a complete success. I have to admit, I rather like the direction you took the sisters in❣ One tip, that I discovered from @Marticore ft. @April Black 's video, is 2 sims can gain charisma simultaneously at the same mirror (one just stands behind the other). Just thought I 'd add that, in case you did not know for future reference when sims' funds might be low. 👍🙃

This is an amazing episode and emotionally a real roller coaster 😂 Thank you so so much for doing these and YES, I DO need an another round of Pleasantview!! In my gameplay I made Dina marry mortimer and get a kid (for the goth mansion money but ending up being an amazing single mother of two cuz one is from Don lmao) and Nina moves to Dons old apartment and lives there with her son (that's also from Don, he has 4 children in total and lives in the Goth mansion with Cassandra). Right now all the kids are teens and will go to university and Dina, Nina & Don etc. are oldies now :P But this was an amazing idea for a new way of playing them, thank you so much for that :)

Thank you so much! I try to keep the gameplay somewhat realistic but with some surprising moments thrown in there, I feel this makes the unconventional bits stand out more. As far as the plan of action goes, I might first drop an episode with Burbs and Oldies to officially end the first round of Pleasantview, then swith to Strangetown, and then go back to Pleasantview for season 2 haha (will definitely make an episode with the Pleasantview young adults at college, that one should be fun)

I had Dina and Mortimer get married, she moved into the Goth mansion and spruced it up. In order to ensure her legacy would be intertwined w the Goth wealth she got pregnant w Mortimer but before the baby was born he died! I’m worried it’s twins. Now it’s just her and Alexander in the house. Nina might move in to help her raise the kids when Alexander goes to college but she’s enjoying bachelorette life for now.

I was seriously considering it and I feel like it would’ve made more sense, but I just felt like Alexander didn’t fully approve of Mortimer’s marriage. Plus, he really liked the Goth mansion so he preferred to stay there. He moved out for college not so long afterwards anyway

Looking forward to the next one:) Music has to be mentioned separately, it doesn't interrupt the gameplay sounds (which is just insufferable in other people's videos, IMAO), but here it really sets the mood:) Could you please explain to me how you keep needs so high? Or do you use maxmotives? But they react typically, so I doubt it. It's not a problem in Sims 3, but in Sims 2 I can hardly imagine going to the community lot after work.

I don't use any cheats for mood, i've just been playing this game for ages so i got quite good at multitasking haha. But tbh sometimes I still struggle to keep their needs high at all times, even in this video there were a few moments where my Sims complained of low needs. But yeah Sims 3 is definitely easier in this regard

I play TS4 mostly but have included the OG families along with some of the TS4 premades. My last rotation save, Dina had a kid with Don but you know how relationships with Don turn out 😂 She ended up marrying Jay Huntington and having kids. Nina wanted nothing to do with Don, instead marrying Johnny Zest and having a big family. They get along so well. Another save, Nina ended up with Jay and Dina is still enjoying the single life. 😊

In my gameplay, Dina did marry Mortimer. She bought all new furniture and stuff, but at some point in the middle of the night, the ghost of her ex-husband spooks her, and she actually dies of fright. Darren and Brandi are still just dating but I would like to see them get married at some point, it just feels right. Would be kinda funny if Darren first lost Cassandra to Don and then Brandi to Nina though lmao. Normally I bring Mortimer back to life, and they live a happy life. I have never seen/ made her as a golddigger. On another game file I just let Dina live with her first husband. Nina on the other side is a different story, I make her life miserable with a lot of kids, and she is jealous of Dina's succes.

Lol in my game, Dina and Nina own a salon and spa with plastic surgery booths and they got botched with Mortimer's money but he died and Nina is leeching Malcom Landgrabb now for more coins. It's messy lol I think most players pair Nina or Dina with Malcom. He's RICH.
