On the one-year anniversary of the murders in Moscow, Idaho, this program is a reflection on the tense days following the killings, and how the crime has impacted the community forever.

I've stopped holding back my tears and cry with these parents. I cry for these beautiful lives lost to madness. How is any of this reality? More questions now than answers. I cry these tears in the frosty November evening, recalling just how long ago yet how touchable that last November seems... how hearing the news seemed surreal and untrue, because no way not here there must be some mistake? Now there are so many theories and we await the trial and hopefully the truth. I cry as we wait and we all mourn and somehow say thank you to these families and friends for sharing these amazing young people with us for the beautiful time they were here. Now angels. I cry. I sob and I laugh at the stories I hear about how happy they were and I pray to God that I never experience this pain as a parent. I'm so sorry.

The Defense team received Discovery in Jan. ‘23, two weeks prior to deadline. It is apart of any D-team to squawk about not receiving, but they did in fact receive everything up to that point. Even now, as evidence is received, Discovery is passed onto them. Now that all the pre-trial motions have been completed, the Judge will set trial date. Let the evidence speak for itself. BTW, touch DNA and Genealogy are only tools used, it is the boots on the ground work that ties the links together. ⚖️🙏🏻🪦🪦🪦🪦☮️

I don’t dispute that he killed them; I just don’t understand how one person can kill four people with a knife, leave two witnesses, and apparently no one fought back, called police or checked on any of the victims or tried to stop him. Maybe I just don’t know the details but I just can’t think of how that could be. If you’re killing 4 people by knife by stabbing, that’s a lot of energy and I think you would be exhausted by the third at least. Then if you’re the victim I can’t imagine I would not struggle even if caught off guard in the middle of a dead sleep.

Maddie and Kaylee belonged to different soroities and were involved seperately quite a bit due to this. Living in the actual Soroity House comes with extra costs and rules. Being that they were nearing graduation, they moved to off campus student housing. Maddie lived in the house first, then let Kaylee know there was a room for rent. That way they could be together more, especially toward the end of the college years. They were lifelong "buds".
