@@randomguy2530 most Deepwoken players can solo layer 2, I mainly just wanted a unique prog route, I mean how often do you see layer 2 only progs? But regardless I think it could have been pretty cool, especially if you were barred from using a light hook (since divers and IU are enemies). I would imagine that they tweak a few things about floor one (mainly adding more mobs/higher experience/random event spawns so that progression wouldn’t be actual hell) I think it could be a pretty fun and unique way to play Deepwoken, contrary to the current model, which is just normal prog but you start in the ignition Union base.

@@randomguy2530 I suppose that’s a good option too, but for origins I prefer unique gameplay. I mean, look at voidwalker or deepbound, they’re essentially challenge progressions with some bonuses tacked on, I understand layer 2 prog would be a pain which is partly why I think it would be a good fit for the origin. Honestly as long as they make it fun to progress I’m fine with a standard prog origin, I just personally was looking for more of a challenge run instead of a standard prog. To be honest after 2 years of asking for it, I’m just happy it’s here.

@@thats_shady it still works, they just mean that you're technically getting more exp cause you're in eastern luminant (aka you're in a "tougher" place, where exp it's greater nonetheless), so you get more exp compared to etrean + the extra from doing jobs, and still can do trial of one

Well, all origins were released like this. Like voidwalker being released without grasp, and deepbound having absolutely nothing in castle light including oven, glider schemetic and so on. They all really got their stuffs in the very next weeklies, so I'd say to wait and see.

the fact that they released the other origins like this is not a good excuse. if anything its making it even worse, showing that the devs dont rly learn from their mistake. they made an origin, that was expected for years, and they fumbled, making it not worth over any other, even lone warrior. they will probably relese more content with it next week, but thats not the point

@@TrAwZe considering arch have been working on this origin till right before the update release, I just think that he lacked time to actually add more features to the origin. 1 week doesnt sound long enough to complete and fully polish out the origin, while also working on conquest. Being lazy and running out of time have pretty significant difference. For content that wasn't promised as this, I don't really think dev releasing origin, then reinforcing on next week a big problem.

Ngl i found it fun, it's a comfy option for progression where you don't have to worry about void walkers way beyond your level jumping you constantly, and you get a LOT of notes which is nice, its definitely a rough draft but i think with weeklies ironing it out it could be better. I don't think it's crazy good but i enjoy it, you also get deep gems which is nice

i think main reason it sucks is because it isn't anything new aside from the drill and mine, I expected a layer 2 dungeon that you spawn in and have to escape, similar to deepbound origin, but no it just reuses same mobs, same mechanics, same loot, same everything that we see everywhere else

No one expect a depths origin when saying they want an ignition union origin. That'd be deepbound with a new spawn like we have with castaway We got a new spawn, first origin in the eastern luminant (hive will be next), a new way of PvE progression with bonus exp in a place where you can farm loot and go back to town without needing a boat. Idk why y'all are so negative about this but for one i'm happy And remember, they always add on top of the stuff they introduce, we'll probably see even more stuff to do regarding this

The update was okay but we expected way more from an Ignition Union origin. It's been SO LONG since they said they'd add it, and this is what they made. All of the new content isn't even specific to the origin, the origin itself is just extra XP until power 10 and a new spawn island.

I'd rather it wasn't rushed like this, plus that last line: "they always add on top" well uhhh... Chime rewards, BR Rewards, Hell Mode Instance, Prima Instance, Kaido Rework. So many things promised yet 0 delivery. I'd rather arch announces it, spends 3-4 weeks making it then add it. But atleast we got 2x chests right?

2:04 as a new player, trial of one is NOT easyer than the dungeons, I agree with everything else, it's faster and probably better if you're good at the game, I have been trying my best to beat the trial and for now I can go as far at that one sand knight (idk his name) I do not mean to complain about the trial of one's difficulty, it's fair, just challenging, but dungeons are in no way easyer

they said they'd add actual content next weekly plus it is the dungeon origin when devs have actively said they're going to focus on instanced / dungeon content for future additions. This could very easily become one of if not the best origins once it gets actual content. also i think complaining about the lack of content on release is a little exhausting, we've been complaining about it for about 2 years and they're not gonna just switch up.

They should make the dungeon bring you up or down from overworld to depths to layer 2 and have overworld to depths be for lev 1-10 and depths to layer 2 for lev 5-15 so you can access layer 2 without light hook, they would have to make a solo and a multiplayer version so solo you can actually get pleetskys inferno without wiping half the slots you wanna get it on. I agree with everything you say, but I just think this would be cool.

alr hopefully the devs see this bc I got great ideas for the dungeon but I do NOT have W rank to make suggestions in their server. they should make the drill go down and through layers of depths like layer one scaling off of your power for difficulty with max level being similar to hellmode. this level should also give you the option to exit and be in the ignition base in layer 1. instead if you decide to go deeper, you go to layer 2 floor 1 and clear out some bounders, carabuncles, and bonekeepers and it should give you an option to exit to floor 1 starting with the generator restarted. You should also have to fight a mini boss after a few waves of those mobs giving you a chance to get a gale heavy legendary weapon because of the relation between layer 2, ethiron, and gale. floor 2 would be next and you would fight a bunch of kyrsguards and kyrsbrutes and you have the option to claim Kyrsan medallions as well then use them as currency to buy other things like klaris. there would also be another miniboss giving you a chance to get a kyrsweapon that’s attunementless similar to the kyrseiger but scaling off of something like willpower or agility and medium or heavy because the kyrsguards are too large for a light weapon that the player uses to be viable. then there should give access to layer 3, where you fight a bunch of new mobs and accessing layer 3 in this dungeon will give access to layer 3 through layer 2 floor 2. layer 3 would be similar to layer 1 in terms of how it’s structured differently from layer 2, then when you finish layer 3, it should give access to layer 3 through the ignition deep drill in layer 1 after beating ethiron and then jumping into the black smoke below ethiron. layer 3 should be similar to layer 1 with the fact that it’s open world and not a dungeon. flamecharm would deal burn damage much faster and you would have to dodge twice to get the flames off. then there would be a floor 2 of layer 3 which is a dungeon, where you have to fight pleeksty worshippers in order to prove yourself worthy of meeting pleeksty. either that or you could have high rep with the pleeksty worshippers as they would be a faction. pleeksty would then give you the option to spar to have a shot at true flamecharm which would greatly enhance flamecharm in terms of damage and wind up as well as giving access to new mantras(this would have to make normal flamecharm nerfed to balance flame as a whole then.) anyway you would beat the dungeon by fighting a demigod similar to the scion of ethiron in terms of lore but this demigod would be more similar to the duke in size but much more difficult. when you win you go through the deepdrill to ascend into layer 2 which now has become open world in an area far away from chaser. You can go back up the deep drill to layer 1 or 2 then. back to the drill dungeon, layers of depths would provide a chain attached to the drill, so if at any point you were about to wipe you could use it to go back to the drill and back to safety, only thing is that if you don’t use it, you will wipe. loot from further down will be much better with layer 3 giving a guaranteed 3 relics of any kind. in terms of lore the divers wouldn’t give access to a light hook in layer 3 floor 1 or 2 because they’re scared lil psys and the ignition union is better than them. if you finish the entire dungeon you would get insane rep with the ignition union.

I will always stand by this opinion, origins are the absolute worst thing added to deepwoken (mostly voidwalker's fault). If you want to do any amount of overworld ganking and your not a voidwalker, good luck getting ganks. Literally the only area that ganks are pretty consistant to find are at voidheart or voidwalker bounties. Because of this, I straight up just don't get to try out the other origins since they have no good endgame (endgame deepwoken pve is garbage). I wish origins were more about progression instead of giving you endgame benifits.

I’m genuinely so sick of deepwoken and disgusted by the developers lack of care for their player base. I understand development is hard. I understand wanting a well rounded product, but this is past understandable. Everything about the origin is just rushed. From minor stuff such as stalactites and dungeon decor not being connected to anything and just floating, to outright not even having the spawn set to be IN miner's landing, as well as the evacuation script only evacuating the person who called it in, meaning the others have to do it manually (My friend literally got squashed by a brute just cause after I called in the evacuation, only I got to leave and my friend didn't, so the brute glitched in and just murdered him). The EXP is ass, even with the bonus for clearing a dungeon, the loot's not too shabby but also not exactly great either. Carrying fuel rocks literally makes it so climbing certain obstacles is fucking impossible since you'll just slide down as if everything is coated in butter.

Right, for some reason brutes have priority spawn in the later depths other than the actual mobs that you tend to encounter first, such as threshers and megalaodaunts. One brute even spawned near our pod as we drilled in, immediately aggroing.
