I am teary-eyed by this poem, having my father separated from me from an early age, I did not get the chance to feel how a father protects her daughter. This quick snapshot of this story is enough to show us some layers of life. Some people value their loved ones to an extent that they're willing to beg and do everything for them. Some people are too egoistic and self-centered that they don't even care how cruel they become just to feed their pride. And there are good people who experience terrible circumstances that they never deserved. Sometimes people just take our loved ones or valuable things away from us, some of us are strong enough to take them back like Chrises did but most of us just quit and walk away as Achilles did. This just justifies that sometimes we're not the ones in control of our circumstances, but it's up to us how we deal with these circumstances. This is a really informative snapshot. Thank you, sir! It is my first time listening to this poem, and I have to say what stood out to me the most was the incomparable love of Chryses to his daughter, Chryseis. This poem truly had me captivated for the type of love a father gives to his daughter. Guillermo, Elaine Annrey I-18

I remember when I was in Grade 10, we watched the movie film 'Troy' the adaptation of Homer's great epic The Iliad, as a part of our lesson. We watched it and broke it into four parts; after each portion, my teacher would ask us about our insights from that segment. I can still envision how fantastic that film was. However, we can witness a father's deep affection in this video. Thank you for this, Sir! Sobredilla, Hazel R. OBTEC I-13

This video shows a short yet concise snapshot showing the story's main conflict: Achilles' anger towards King Agamemnon who took his prize to appease his own wounded pride due to a plague in which he was ultimately to be blamed for. The incomprehensible love a father has for his child is one of the story's high points. He pursued zealously and prayed to Apollo only to have his daughter back-something that is sympathetic for many audiences-despite the possibility that his revenge would be terrible and that others might be significantly harmed. A reflection of how amazing and potent a straightforward epic poem is is found in Homer's The Iliad. Tara, Madonna U. NLEC-5

This is quite refreshing. During my high school days, we had a role play with this story. Such a good story to talk about. All the dramas and war are worth reading. The poem shows the destructiveness of insolence and how pride can ruin everything. Because of King Agamemnon's pride, the plague hit everyone under his rule and they paid the price for a sin they did not commit.
