I would love to see small pillager camps and bigger outposts or small fortresses that may be like 50x50 blocks and have walls. I would also love to see village guards or some sort of villager job that allows them to become soldiers to fight the mobs. It would be nice if they could do that and make new structures based on that like fortified villages and their version of fortresses/outposts.

They were booted out of their homes for their cruel and twisted practices and their skin turned pale and gray either from being secluded in their mansions or for their use of dark magic. I mean it should be possible with today´s modding capabilities. In the Vampirism mod for example most villages have a beacon that either belong to the Vampires or the Vampire Hunters, with proper defense forces of the belonging factions and everything. This beacons can be taken and the villages conquered by the player if they either belong to Vampires or Hunters. Same could be done for Villagers and Illagers I think.

Well, as far as I can tell there is no mod that explicitly has you join the Illager's side. But if you use the /team command, a bunch of command blocks, and place them in the center of your Minecraft world, you can merge everything Illagers to a team, and then join that team yourself, and live amongst the Illager mobs in survival. You can also do the same for Villagers, and get the Mob Battle Mod so that anything Villager attacks you / any other mob you add to the team on sight. This is what I do to add myself into the raids as an Illager. The Villagers won't run away, and you can still trade with them, but the Iron Golems attack the fuck out of you. You can do this with any mob group by the way, I made a tutorial video on it. If you install the Mob Battle Mod, make Zombies and Skeletons separate teams, you can join the world and see Zombies and Skeletons attack one another on sight. If you join one of the teams, the mob you're /teamed with won't attack you, but its enemies will. If you turn off Friendly Fire, you won't accidentally hurt your friends, and they won't be able to hurt you either. You can also change the color of the team, thus making yours, and other mobs' names, that color.

I guess when I posted it people just weren't as interested in Illagers as I have been. It's funny too because I was just starting to lose interest when this stuff really started getting attention. By the way, stay tuned for the Illager Raid fest to come. Complete with First Person perspective into village, residential structure, and otherwise raids. All topped off with music afterwards to fit the grim atmosphere of what being a land pirate is like. It might not be spectacular, but hopefully someone can get some joy out of it.

In the story I have constructed, the different ranks that an Illager in the army is assigned work as a level system. The weapons and abilities are issued depending on what level Illager Soldier they are. There are only three real levels in total; those being Pillager, Vindicator, and Evoker in that order. Evokers are both a soldier rank, and a role in governing the facilities and raid strategies. They work both in the field and in the offices of mansions and the Presidential Complex. There is a fourth sort of rank, but it isn't actually apart of the ranking system. This is where Illusioners, Witches, Wolves, and Wither Skeletons are placed. They're not actually part of the Illager Military. They don't have to be there, but they can choose to join the raids or not. Ravagers are basically the transportation that carry the troops and stolen goods across the land. They take part in raids, yes; but their role is to compete with the Villager's Iron Golems as they both have 100 hp, take minimal knockback, and do a similar amount of damage. The only major difference between the two is the Ravager can swim.
