that ending text though from Steve's Arm about the machine suddenly appearing there one day, then the player character asking what it is again despite having played with it for a while and seeing the different endings, kinda makes me wonder if the machine itself is actually jumping realities? like for example, the player character plays with it, gets an ending that wrecks the city/planet, then hits reset only for the machine to switch into an alternate reality, where its right back again with a new steve and player....and it just brings the pictures along with it? idk im not sure how to explain the bit of taking clues from different endings to open new ones though, or how the machine goes from world breaking stuff to just serving a cup of coffee

I feel like when cap said it might all be a simulation. I don’t agree exactly. Maybe, since the restart button restarts everything, it could reset everything, expect the office, so maybe that’s why when at the end of the game, Steve says the machine is a coffee machine, and as it resets everything, it could screw with time and physics while resetting. Plus, when you get an ending sometimes it’s pretty loud, but Steve doesn’t hear you,but it could be that the bathroom is above the office, so everytime you destroy the city or poison it, you probably would kill Steve, if Steve was underground, Steve would probably hear what you would of done and come back. So that’s my theory mi amigos.
