Such a beautiful book! The cover and the illustrations are also stunning but I think the book only covers the central points and other references of the story?

What did you think of the story?

I’m currently reading the Penguin Classics edition of the Mahabharata! It’s an abridged version but I’m really enjoying it. It’s really a rich epic, filled with characters and deeper meanings and truths.

@@PontusPresents I've read many version but in my native language. Haven't seen the translation to English. But usually Penguin does a good job. Even with a difficult book like Mahabharata, hopefully they captured the essence. If you're interested, there is a book called Parva (English translation available) which reimagines this tale by taking out the supernatural elements and making it a story about human behaviour. Quite a fascinating interpretation!
