Looks like a pretty good call. A couple of fingers went into the defender's eye. Maybe he took a dive, maybe he didn't. But if Endo had his hand up by the defender's face, the ref probably felt he didn't have much choice in the matter.

international soccer needs to have instant replay. if any of you die hards have see a problem with it, then let's compromise and say that instant replay can only be used to verify a flagrant foul that justifies a red card. any player caught faking an obvious injury will be instantly given a red card and be suspended not one but two games. this is why I've never got into soccer....

Actually, it's a good idea if you want to be a cheap soccer player. Start falling down if you get touched in the slightest way. That's why most of them fall when someone barely touches them. It's a good(cheap) way to give someone a nice colored card ;).

instant reply shouldnt be incorporated to soccer, otherwise: 1. refs credibility =zero : soccer is a game of which the officiating is based entirely on judgement, thus a point of view or angle of view can change the way a call is made.

u are right in some way, but there is simply no way to do evrything u are suggesting, thats why a soccer game is 90 minutes long: no stoppages in the time, in this situation the referee made a mistake, especially if his decision was based upon solely seeing a fallen player and not looking at the foul the assistants always keep their on the game, at least one of them, because they have a greater line of view due to their distance, stop play consult your assistant restart with what is necessary.

The other player then acts like he got killed...LOL, if I were the ref, I'd take a looooooooong time before allowing him back into the game. As a ref, I think you could actually do that, just keep not "noticing" the guy when he wants to get back into the match, after he gets strechered off.
