@@theduckgoesmoo It was rated PG-13, I think, or maybe just PG. It's kinda tough to find a conclusive overall rating for it since the show can get VERY dark in some episodes, while still being pretty bright or uplifting in others. The show was very good at naturally implementing shifts in tone from episode to episode without feeling jarring. They got away with the stuff I mentioned by being clever about it via the plot or only showing the end result of the injury rather than the moment it happens. Such as the dismemberment only being mentioned or shown after it actually happened. Like the first time it happened, Baxter Stockman was just a normal scientist that failed at accomplishing something that Shredder demanded of him, at which point he's told by the Shredder that he'd be punished, was dragged away by the Shredder's henchmen, and then in the next episode he'd be missing a body part, and this happens multiple times over the course of the show and is pretty much a dark running gag. I'd recommend giving the show a watch, either for a reaction or on your own time, because it's very good, and does have some surprisingly mature stories. It has seven seasons, spread throughout 156 episodes. The first three seasons are nothing short of amazing, the fourth and fifth are still great but quality does start to decline a bit, and after that the tone and story telling go way more family friendly and dip to the point where I have trouble recommending it. But fortunately, both the fourth and fifth season's endings actually feel like natural places for the series to end, so it doesn't leave you feeling like you're missing part of the story if you drop it after either of those two points. Seriously, this show is an excellent starting point for getting into the Ninja Turtles, since it strikes a good balance between the kid friendly cartoons and the more mature comics that are the source material for the franchise. This show was what got me interested in the Ninja Turtles when I was a kid, and the show still holds up surprisingly well except for maybe those last two seasons, but they both felt tacked on anyways, so I just don't count them.

Angsizing is pretty standard math for calculating depth of field, and can be used on video footage like the explosion Leonardo was scaled to. I assume they did so here, because they've shown that kind of math in other episodes, and it's generally standard procedure in calculating feats. They didn't say that they calced the boulder as if the Yellow Ranger was picking it up, so no reason to assume there's anything wrong there. Besides, as usual, the black boxes had more impressive feats. Usually the feats actually said out loud are the ones that make the fight look closest, but there's always enough info before an animation to tell the winner regardless. This was a fun retro fight, the animation holds up quite well :)

I agree with this one, but for a different reason than they gave at the end. As they pointed out in the beginning, any damage Jason takes is diverted to the morphin grid, and while the limit to that is reachable by the stronger monsters, that usually takes explosive outputs Leonardo just can't match. Even if all the numbers had come out even, Leonardo would need enough stamina to wear down Jason until he lost his armor, and Leonardo's worst defeats came from having his own stamina worn down. It just wasn't happening for him here

No you got a win when it came to Power Rangers episodes before, in Megazord vs Voltron, you sided with Voltron and it won. Also season 7 is commonly referred to as "fuck your lunch" out of the 20 episodes in this season, 7 of them start with one of the combatants vibing and consuming something, when all of a sudden their opponent shows up and ruins that plan, often by destroying the food.

Power Rangers Trivia! Jason is the first Red Ranger to be seen in Power Rangers. He’s also the first ranger to retire and later return as another ranger, this being Zeo’s gold ranger. This technically also means he’s the second ranger to have a child as his counterpart in the source material as Riki was physically 14 when he was the black ranger in Ohranger, (they changed black to gold in the U.S.) though Riki is actually over 600 million years old. Despite never meeting the turtles in the main Power Rangers timeline as he was already long retired by the time Power Rangers in Space came along he did get his powers swapped with the Ninja Turtle Raphael in the comic timeline. So in an alternate universe Leonardo and Jason have met before.

fun fact....the Power Rangers did meet (and have a small fight) with the Ninja Turtles. Happened in an episode of "Power Rangers....In Space".....also there was a comic mini series where they teamed up to fight lord zedd and shredder. at one point the power rangers lost their powers....turtles got the power (with april o neil), shredder became the green ranger. to combat the enimies. turtles leant the power rangers their weapons (so weapon/power swap)

you have to think about this with the TMNT verse: there is no One set of turtles. you see: each group with different personalities, lore and even weapons are from different timelines and universe. kind of like the Spider-verse's example. so there's universes like the original Mirage Comic's verse, the 1980's verse, the 2012 verse and the recent 2018 Rise verse and that's only those that have shows/comics since in some media there are tons more like the movies and anime and.... crappy rock bands. we don't talk about that one (Pssst~ Nostalgia Critic and the AVGN did a somewhat review on that mess and it was a dark time for TMNT called: selling out).

Oh man, you're skipping Obi-Wan vs Kakashi? That means you'll probably have to skip Yoda Vs King Mickey too, meaning the only sfm fights you're gonna end up watching are Bat Girl vs Spider Gwen and Akuma vs Shao Kahn, the latter is okay at best and the former is about as enjoyable as RVB Zero, hell I'd argue it's even less enjoyable than that. It's a shame that you're having to skip the good sfm fights and only watch their weaker ones, their good episodes are agreed to be some of the best episodes of their respective seasons, some even go as far to say they're some of the greatest episodes ever on this show, while the only 2 you can watch are considered some of the worst episodes of their respective seasons. The only good sfm fight you can watch at the moment is a single segment in the Saitama vs Popeye fight, and it ain't gonna be till late April when you finally get to that one.
