Kazuo Ishiguro is the only living British winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature - having written household names such as Never Let Me Go and The Remains of the Day.
(Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
His new novel, Klara and the Sun, is on the surface a sci-fi about artificial intelligence, but of course it is about much more, mostly love.
Krishnan speaks to Kazuo Ishiguro about artificial intelligence's impact on human relationships and his fears for the future of liberal democracy.

Ishiguro is such a great author. Some scenes in his novels stay in my mind for years. This is a wonderful experience for me. It is like I go back to that scene/place again and again and again and feel the atmosphere! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻🏆

I wonder how the media will reflect the impact of this Pandemic. It's difficult to find an historic parallel, the Spanish Flu ended during WW1 so inclined to look at post WW2 50s. Seems Western Film and TV harkened back to the past while our music and literature became more anti-authoritarian.

The human experience, and past historical circumstances and philosophical explanation is unique for human, and an AI can’t reached those tools ⚒️ fully understandable , and consciousness is only happening in humans, but an A I do perfect action at the spaces and universes, and helping surgeons for their operations, any phenomenon, has the negative side, no matter engeeniering or science, and all of these comes from humans 🧠, meaning keeping your minds in a healthy condition, and creates fairly and reasonably, in my experiences, the nature is hugest university in the world 🌍, and if you learned from it, you’ll save time’s, and money 💴 which means your life journey and experiences, your knowledge, and the ways your life journey comes forward, and how many visiting places comes in your way, the life journey will never stopped, you will do your teeth recover on the ways of your life journey

They will do that because it was prophecied in the Bible and described as mark of the beast: Rev 13:16-18: "And he causeth all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bond, that there be given them a mark on their right hand, or upon their forehead; and that no man should be able to buy or to sell, save he that hath the mark, even the name of the beast or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. He that hath understanding, let him count the number of the beast; for it is the number of a man: and his number is Six hundred and sixty and six."

@@lubasamoluk8024 - so you are saying the Devil is stronger than God? This is the reason people have a problem with Christianity because they always paint sin and the Devil as all powerful and GOD who creates ALL things FYI as wimpy and useless. Really?

You betrayed us, Kazuo. You betrayed us with this interview, you betrayed the idea of freedom being silent during the interview about the monstrosity of oppression to human's freedom happening now. We believed you when you wrote Never Let Me Go. You exchanged your soul to the " fame". So... disappointed.
