Energy Analyst The US sanctions will come to nothing. All the first round Sanctions did was get Russia moving forward and cost Europe exports. Nothing will stop Russia now. There are always other Companies or new Companies that will build the pipelines. Russia itself can build most of the gear themselves and if they can't China will produce it. The Chinese overall can quickly fill orders. They are up to five times faster than European or US firms. Russia has already replaced most of the food they banned from Europe with there own production. Often financed with foreign capital. There long term plan regarding there Wheat and Cereal industries is the key. To build the Piggeries and Chicken Farms and Feedlots and Dairy industry up is easy once you have the food in place at good prices. No problem there now being the world's biggest exporter in this area. Fruit and Vegetables no problem in season. The USA just does not pull the weight it used to or Europe in the world economy. While the US and Europe went into recession, more like depression in some ways as a result of the misnamed GFC Asia kept growing including Australia. It should have been called something else apart from Global. Russia now has alternate finance and interest rates are dropping in Russia. With the fall in the Rouble every week a Russian industry is moving into a new area or producing previously imported products. Top class gear also. If denied access to the Russian market European Companies will gladly sell technology to Russia. Russia lifted itself for the first decade or more from a disaster using Oil and Gas sales but they spent that money wisely. They put in place long term investment and research to get there Industrial side ready to enter the World Markets with world class products and replace imports with equal quality home produced products. There motor industry is a good example. About 90% of vehicles sold in Russia are made in Russia but the really impressive thing is about 40% of sales are held by there own Corporations renowned in the past for producing an interior product. Not now. Same with Farm and Industrial Machinery and Construction Machinery and Trucks. Much more now made in Russia than 10 years ago. It is over. No moron in the USA is going to cripple Russia now. They are too far down the track with a very well educated and skilled population. There biggest problem now is Labour. The reason they now are looking for overseas partners to produce high Teck items in other nations. Just not enough workers in Russia. The 55 year pension age will soon go. To late now USA. The Petro Dollar is going. You don't now control the world economy. The $ will continue to fall and so will the relative standard of living in the USA drop. Wars will not save you. Your Defense sector has to shrink and you will be forced to distribute US Wealth more fairly. All these diversions you create and the harder you try to destroy other economies the faster yours declines in relative terms.

Putin is the most powerful leader in the world nowadays and is appreciated not only by the Russian Christian Orthodox, nice people but also by others! Fox News, RT, Russian Today, Al Jazeera has more credible news broadcasts than US MSM and BBC I think as a Swedish guy who is watching broadcasts all over the world !!!

The hostility of the US Congress toward Russia is very dangerous, unnecessary, and primarily driven by lobbying from US energy companies and defense contractors. The sanctions, combined with proxy wars, will drive Russia much closer to Asia. Contrary to popular US belief, the Russian economy is growing, albeit slowly. It is exporting not only energy commodities, but also is the world's largest grain exporter this year. It is also a major exporter of steel products, fertilizer, minerals, timber products, and much more.

bboucharde And is replacing imported products with Russian Made products. About 40% of there vehicle sales are still held by there original Motor Companies with models that are right up to world standard. About 50% are made in Russia by foreign Companies. Only 10% imported.

bboucharde There true potential to grow will kick in very soon. They used there revenue from oil when prices were high very wisely investing in the future. Many of those projects are now about to start paying off. It takes 10/20 years in many areas of investment before you get the return. At 17 years in they are all starting to pay off and the really big investments are on the verge of paying off.

The US as usual holds all the high cards in its dealings with the EU. It has already threatened a pullout from NATO and imposing import tariffs on European products like cars. The US is also the backstop for supplies of oil and gas when all else fails. Europe depends on the US to survive. The US can be entirely independent.

@@kayvan671 Russia has the vast internal resources to survive. It doesn’t fully depend on the external exchange rates even if it trades in foreign currency. Internal currency is the rubble - one and only! No other money (£,$,€,¥) are allowed to make the internal transactions. So, back to the subject, Europe is getting a great boot, not Russia. Balts, Eastern European countries are the first in line for the huge boot.

@juliaostin8093
@juliaostin8093 3 жыл бұрын
@@kayvan671 Russia’s economy is ranked as 5. You missing the point - Russians has the resources that no other EU country has, and they will survive in any case. True that Russians don’t make as much as Europeans. However, they don’t have such high personal debts like Europeans either. Most Russians don’t have bank loans and don’t have to shuffle 70% of their salaries to pay off the houses, cars, schools. China is going to be a super powerhouse for the next decade. Russia is definitely growing into new powerful player. EU is definitely getting booted with all these smaller states it has on the balance.

Davidson. Its OK for the USA to do it though I assume? Often in areas they have no real business being. Ukraine was a US sponsored Coup. The Ballot there was not free and fair. Obviously thats OK in your mind. Get out of your log and look at all the facts. The USA engineering a Coup (admitted by Nuland in her very long leaked or intercepted conversation with the USAs Ambassador in Kiev. ) that supported known NAZIs and supported a quickly held an election where the NAZI Militias made sure the opposition could not run a decent campaign and any real facts emerge. About 16 leading Opposition figures all mysteriously commit suicide etc. Armed Militia burn to death 60 - 160 depending on who you believe in Odessa. All with TV Cameras there but still no charges. Peaceful unarmed protesters in Odessa. The perfect climate to hold an election. Did that happen in Crimea? No! There were thousands of Reporters and Independent Monitors there and all say it was peaceful and calm. No opposition attacked. Nobody burnt to death. No opposition all found mysteriously to have committed suicide! Nobody killed. You are two faced. The first protests in East Ukraine were peaceful. They only turned violent because Porky ordered they be attacked. Something that never happened in Kiev for months when the Maidan seized buildings and protested. The show trial against a few Police in Kiev is now taking place for shooting at the protesters. It is falling apart. They can't even produce the bullets recovered from both Police and the Protesters. Why not? The Senior Doctor who tried to save the wounded etc. at the time told us all on International TV the bullets all looked the same. She gave them to the Security services. Don't you want to remember she told us all at the time they all looked the same. The bullets from the dead Police and dead Protesters. Of course they were. That was all organised by the neoNAZIs the US supports. Shoot up the crowd and Police and blame the Police and the old President. How useless can the Security Services be? Lose the very bullets that could prove there case. They were deliberately lost. They would have proven the mystery snipers that shot both the protesters and Police were shot by the same shooter or shooters. Exactly as the main treating doctor said just looking at the bullets recovered from the bodies. They were all shot by shooters backing the present neoNAZIs in the present Regime supported by the USA. All evidence destroyed. Just like all the evidence in the Air Traffic Control records were destroyed by the same people when MH17 went down because it incriminates the US Regime in Ukraine. Thats the sort if shit you support. Did you even know the Trial for the shooting of Protesters at Maidan Square was on? No! You think that would be all over US Media. No! Not when the put up charges against a couple of Police is falling apart and they have lost all the bullets recovered from the bodies by an honest Doctor and her team. Lost the key evidence that would prove or disprove there charges. Thats your Regime in Ukraine and you have the audacity to criticise Russia for making sure the people of Crimea were given a choice at a democratically run election. You better put a funny cross thing on your arm and go to Ukraine. Australian.
