The Importance of Being Earnest, A Trivial Comedy for Serious People is a play by Oscar Wilde. Not that Suchet could not do justice to the role, but only that I think it a pity when a senior actress is passed over for such a good role. There are not many parts for older women who are past the bloom of youth.

David Suchet is great but casting Bracknell as a man makes a total mockery of the role.

I don't like Suchet in this. He overacts the role as if he's swallowed too much Edith Evans.
