60 yr old woman here. Since your video on your Aug 2022 labs, I started taking 9 mg of boron. First day I felt so much better and every day since. There are many reasons for me to take it. Osteopenia, arthritis, hormone imbalances, magnesium absorption, etc. THANK YOU, Paul. Tell your mom even if she doesn’t notice right away, it will still help her in the long run. We all want strong bones and body for as long as possible!!! Tip for taking it: I read reviews and it is best to take it earlier in the day so it won’t make it harder to go to sleep.

@@undefinednull5749 I think it has to do with that milk having A2 protein (and it's something to do with casein also), rather than A1 protein. Unfortunately, A1 protein (beta casein) is much more common in typical milk, from cows. Some people do goat milk dairy, to get A2 protein rather than A1 protein. Others seek out the milk products (such as yogurt) from particular breeds or types of cows, in order to get A2 and avoid A1.

@@tuleralph6031 you might want to look into consuming foods rich in zinc as well and copper to balance it out. I usually consume at a ratio of anywhere from 10:1 or 15:1 for zinc to copper(meaning consume ten to fifteen times more of zinc in comparison to copper. This has absolutely changed my life. I purchase canned oysters which are absolutely rich in zinc and highly bioavailable, it’s much better than taking zinc in supplement form. As for the copper I balance it consuming an ounce of beef liver alongside the oysters canned in water. Each can would last you give or take about 2-3 days, also be sure to consume the liver with a fatty meal such as eggs and red meat that has fat present in it. Doing all these while supplementing with vitamin d3 made with olive oil capsules will super charge you. Because balancing zinc and copper is such a delicate balance, I would suggest you download a mobile app known as cronometer, for the price of 13 bucks you could get the exact values of all the micro, and macronutrients you put into your body. A food scale will also help you as well when measuring micronutrients and macros. Sorry for the long winded explanation, this is my way of saying thank you for the response

Boron seems to be a very complex mineral. The ideal situation is a permanent effect of SHBG levels dropping while increasing free testosterone. However, that case study that reported increase in SHBG levels is worrisome because it means it's not going to have the same effect on everyone. In addition, the effect is has on the increase of DHT is probably the biggest red flag to watch out for because constant increase in DHT can lead to prostatic hyperplasia. So now the question becomes, what is the perfect dosage? The only way to find out is to experiment with that dose range of 3-10mg/day. But one would have to constantly be getting their blood work done and have to be on pins and needles to see the results because at the end of the day that prostatic hyperplasia may lead to more problems down the road in your 60s, 70s or even 80s.

If you're eating calcium rich foods the mop up the oxalates.
@Darnabymom
@Darnabymom Жыл бұрын
@@alexanderohanlon8825 I wish it was that simple. I belong to a low oxalate FB group led by a researcher and other nutritionists like Sally K Norton. Not all the oxalates get bound to calcium and it depends on when the calcium is taken and what type it is. The body sends calcium to the sites of inflammation as a triage. If it is bound with oxalates, it also sends the shards of oxalate crystals bound to the calcium. Think kidney stones. For me as a 60 year old woman oxalates increase my joint pain.
@alexanderohanlon8825
@alexanderohanlon8825 Жыл бұрын
@@Darnabymom Okay I my bad I should have elaborated further, oxalates come in 2 forms soluble and insoluble with the former being the issue. So if you consume calcium rich foods at the same time as the oxilate rich foods the oxalates bind the calcium and won't pass through the enterocytes of the gut... But! If you're super anxious on oxalates go with pinapple, now there's nothing out there saying it's high in boron but! There are studies showing it consumes huge amounts from the soil.
