Casey thanks for telling Doug's story in more detail. I've just been travelling and came across a theatre built in the 1930s that the town's government recently had the sense to buy back and restore to its glory and it is a focal point for this small town and regional area that brings people together to share culture. Streaming services keep people apart. But at least this one enables people from all walks of life, like us, to connect. You tell the stories that others don't even notice. Thanks.

I strongly agree with Doug. I am 21 years old and have vivid memories of my childhood going to movie theaters with friends and families. The big screen and audio systems do movies so much more justice than streaming services. As I have gotten older it seems as though there has been an abrupt drop off in large notable movies releasing, especially in theaters. I remember being at family dinners during the holidays and hearing my relatives talk about what movies were great this year and what they are excited to see. This new streaming age, which is good in many ways, is unfortunately killing this beautiful thing - the big screen. Not only does it hurt the viewers and experience of going to the theatre, it negatively impacts the most important thing, the artist behind it all. Thanks for another cool video Casey. Miss the daily vlogs :)

There are some real videography gold nuggets in this one (as usual): - 0:54 a regular person just does a zoom-in on that screen, Casey makes that vertigo zoom effect by moving the camera in while increasing the FOV (in reality the camera moves a lot further than it seems). Of course, he does this one handed while pointing at the screen. He also re-recorded reading the headline with a camera facing him, so he could cut between. - 10:49 there are a million ways you can cut between Doug thanking the crowd, and back to narration at the studio. Freeze-framing it on a screen and cutting to filming that screen so it looks like the camera pops out from the theatre into his studio, is perhaps the most creative (yet still pleasing) way to do it. There are no KZbin vlogs quite like a Casey vlog.

@@carterbliss484 not really, there is one video where he just shows the start of the again combined 2 studios but for example he shows never what happens to this shooting table, or when he break down the entire wall… In the past he showed nearly every single step or change in his studio, that was way more as it is now… And don’t get me wrong, when he just don’t want to show this anymore to us its completely fine for me but I just miss this vlogs cuz they where so inspiring to me…

I don't know why but 10:50 broke my brain. Casey is so good at this.

I just watched it at home with my girlfriend and dog on the couch. I'm glad I didn't have to pay $20 tickets, $40 for popcorn and drinks. Thank you Amazon Prime!!

I came looking for your latest upload Casey and happily for me, came across this. Superb. From the storytelling to the taxi porn, it’s got something for everyone. Also, watched Roadhouse a few months back and it was fantastic. It deserves to be seen and experienced in theatres

I love how you make these videos relatable from the jump. Even just the title is always a win! 👏🏻👏🏻

I love the emphasis that there are certain movies that are meant for the theaters. It's a party, it is meant to be enjoyed at the movies.

Just watched it. No it is not a movie for the big theatres. Good movie - yes for sure, but not a party and really only for home theater. Big theaters would not get the audience.
@preachitmrd10 ай бұрын
@@ControlProI feel that. I guess when he said that it brought me back to the old days before streaming and it wasn't so expensive to watch a movie at the theaters.

This is brilliant, engaging from start to finish. It's a fantastic life lesson. Plus, I ride a horse into my local Tesco's all the time. Me and Jeff are so similar...

Neistat has to be the only OG KZbinr who hasn't used fame and money to conglomerise their channel. Nearly 15 years of true, human content.

Watch the original with Swayze. It is a classic. This remake is going to be trash.

It does look real good and if I wasn't boycotting Hollywood(for other reasons), I'd wanna see it in theaters.

Just had to turn it off- it's real bad, like "Fast and the Furious" series level bad. Very thin plot, protagonist is typical "quiet, strong, and attractive" as per the usual male power fantasy flick, and bad guys are cartoony as hell- half-expected to hear Warner Brothers cartoon sound effects in some of the fight scenes they were so goofy.

half way through the movie now... and to be honest, not sure I'm going to finish. Sooo, maybeee... Amazon was right on this one? I mean I can imagine how much more I' would have been be disappointed if I had actually made an effort to go out and see it...
