Casey thanks for telling Doug's story in more detail. I've just been travelling and came across a theatre built in the 1930s that the town's government recently had the sense to buy back and restore to its glory and it is a focal point for this small town and regional area that brings people together to share culture. Streaming services keep people apart. But at least this one enables people from all walks of life, like us, to connect. You tell the stories that others don't even notice. Thanks.

I strongly agree with Doug. I am 21 years old and have vivid memories of my childhood going to movie theaters with friends and families. The big screen and audio systems do movies so much more justice than streaming services. As I have gotten older it seems as though there has been an abrupt drop off in large notable movies releasing, especially in theaters. I remember being at family dinners during the holidays and hearing my relatives talk about what movies were great this year and what they are excited to see. This new streaming age, which is good in many ways, is unfortunately killing this beautiful thing - the big screen. Not only does it hurt the viewers and experience of going to the theatre, it negatively impacts the most important thing, the artist behind it all. Thanks for another cool video Casey. Miss the daily vlogs :)

Casey, I've been watching you for years, and this is the first time I feel compelled to comment because I truly appreciate the angle you've taken to defend what's right. There are some real videography gold nuggets in this one (as usual): - 0:54 a regular person just does a zoom-in on that screen, Casey makes that vertigo zoom effect by moving the camera in while increasing the FOV (in reality the camera moves a lot further than it seems). Of course, he does this one handed while pointing at the screen. He also re-recorded reading the headline with a camera facing him, so he could cut between. - 10:49 there are a million ways you can cut between Doug thanking the crowd, and back to narration at the studio. Freeze-framing it on a screen and cutting to filming that screen so it looks like the camera pops out from the theatre into his studio, is perhaps the most creative (yet still pleasing) way to do it. There are no KZbin vlogs quite like a Casey vlog.

I own several businesses, so I am largely in control, but as Casey said, you always have someone to answer to. It may be nice to have your movie on a large format, but your intent should be to have it distributed to the most people. Amazon will likely bring it to more people, than a format that charges $15 to $20 per person. I went to one movie last year and that was Oppenheimer. The big screen is dead and dying, as far as I am concerned. We each have a big screen in our homes today. Thanks Casey

"It's important to acknowledge that you lost." Or however he worded it verbatim. I paused the video when he said that and sat here thinking about it. That's great and important advice because we're all going to lose at some points in our lives and what matters is that we stand up for what we believe and fight anyway, even if we lose in the end.

My fav Casey video of all time and not just cuz it’s the newest one. As someone who went to school for film I was already being told what I could and couldn’t do in school all while doing what they said I couldn’t on KZbin all at the same time!

It's not really a loss, just a setback while in the process of winning later. Your point was made. I really like this guy. Not necessarily for movies or anything, I don't watch much tv/film but him. What a cool guy. Passionate and obviously earned his success.

I love the emphasis that there are certain movies that are meant for the theaters. It's a party, it is meant to be enjoyed at the movies.

Just watched it. No it is not a movie for the big theatres. Good movie - yes for sure, but not a party and really only for home theater. Big theaters would not get the audience.

@@ControlProI feel that. I guess when he said that it brought me back to the old days before streaming and it wasn't so expensive to watch a movie at the theaters.
