As someone from a smaller market, it's interesting to see signs that there seems like there are forces shaping the market.

I feel like order books aren’t necessarily needed but do provide great confluence. I was short Thursday 4632 but cut at 4616 when i saw offers get lifted. Ideally i should’ve used the same edge i used at 4632 to get back in at 4622 and ride to 4600 and lower Umar you provide great insights and I’m glad to have found your advice! Everyday market provides opportunities and I am trying to hone in my edge that way i can become a consistent profitable trader!

Can you make a video on footprint charts?

You can get all that information from price action in the chart itself as well.
@TJ-ss1tv9 ай бұрын
No, you can’t. You’re missing an enormous amount of information by looking at a candlestick. DOM/lvl 2 is rawest form of market generated info and therefore has an edge when comparing to looking at a chart. If a buyer comes in and throws 5000 lots at the ask and gets absorbed and seller market orders in 3000 smashing the bid, re offers at that price, you won’t know any of that. You’ll just see a wick. You’re just missing so much information and context on why you should/shouldn’t take a trade, fade something, etc.

@TJ-ss1tv i should have said peice + volime. That information shows up in volume in a lower time frame. I only trade on daily and weekly (not intra day). For me, volume at the end of day and price reaction is important. For day traders, I don't know.

I don't understand. Each forex broker is its own market maker so any order book or ladder is only for the broker your with. Order flow book only works with regulated exchange

Can you please tell us where to find these order books?
@mohsinahmad28944 ай бұрын
Just an FYI for anyone reading this, the SpotFX market does NOT provide this data. OTC markets do not give this information. If you want it you can try futures.

Tian is right order books are useless information. Order books can and will be broken all the time every time.
@TJ-ss1tv9 ай бұрын
If you don’t understand what to look for, yeah it’s going to seem useless to you. I’m sure statistics would prove that those who use tape reading with their trades and know how to properly read it are better than those that look at candlesticks. There’s a reason prop firms/actual pros use DOM/lvl 2.
