The Importance of The Beatles - I've been buying and reading a lot of Beatles books lately.

I've been reading a lot of music bios and such lately and have started reading more books on The Beatles. I want to read you a few paragraphs from "The Importance of The Beatles" by Adam Woog, published in 1998.

Well said! I'm a massive Beatles fan.. 2nd generation I suppose. My folks got me into them as a kid, and they've always been one of my favorite bands, period. Over the past few years, I've been seeking out all the recommended best sounding, affordable pressings (mainly 70's UK & German pressings), but this year I want to upgrade all my beat up US copies that I inherited, just for completion sake. Anyway, like you said, their importance cannot be understated and they'll always be one of the best, if not _the best_ rock 'n band ever, at least in my eyes. Cheers, -TJ

At 67, I’m finally downsizing, selling some vinyl and cds, and trying to get rid of rock n roll books. And I can’t find anywhere that wants them! Beatles, Dylan, rock n roll books that I’ve bought over the past four decades. Nobody wants them. They’ll end up on the “free” table at the town dump.

Well it's abooouuuuuuuuuut time Harry. So now how about regular book review vids, assessing pros & cons of each book & whether it affects your view of The Beatles? Just one or two books at a time in depth. I could tip you off on the good & the bad but you already bought enough to go at. And if you find a book rubbish or disagree with it, well, that's just as valid to say as the books you rate higher. You started something with your impressions of Cyn's book, Harry, now run with it.

bla bla bla bla, lol.... seriously I'm old enough to have "BEEN THERE" and I gotta tell you it was crazy and I do mean crazy. I witnessed it and lived it. Beatlemania I mean... Dominate like you wouldn't believe. Our R&R radio station had a Top 50 Chart. CHUM 1050 AM radio. It was a weekly chart and one week in 1964 nine of the top ten tunes were by the Beatles.....

@@Onteo1 We had two rock stations here in Toronto. CHUM and CKEY with Dave Mickey.. A lot of us listened to WUFO in Buffalo too an R&B station....

@@BobbyGass5 yes I know that station. Currently I’m able to pick up 101.5 the Wolf from Peterborough comes in Stong all the way to Rochester.

Yeah The Wolf is a station we all listen too when were up north fishing because it's the best one we can get up there. You don't get many stations up north.
