In this week’s episode, we hit the fields with the Minelab Manticore (equipped with the new M8 coil) and Minelab Equinox to see what we could find metal detecting our OLDEST permission… well, guess what? I did it AGAIN… I found something rarer than rare for the second time. Not to mention, a certain someone managed to find tiny, shiny, OLD silver coins. All in all, it was a stellar day with old coins and what may be one of my best and most historically significant finds EVER. Enjoy!

How awesome that you found the other part of the cufflink - congrats on that! They're both amazing and I hope you're able to positively ID them soon, although I'm sure you're right about what they are. The thought that you were the first person to touch it after a French soldier who was fighting in the Revolutionary War gives me chills! I wish I could peek back in time and see him lose the cufflink - he probably didn't notice for awhile! Such a great video - thank you Stef! ❤

Thanks Elisabeth! 😊 So rewarding to have them both back together again - hopefully after 250 years of sleeping in the ground, they’ll be appreciated for the NEXT 250 years! I am getting some professional opinions coming in tonight - I may be able to have these restored in such a way that it would build up to the original design, but it would likely require special X-ray scanning first. I plan to see this through, though! Whatever the case, it is likely a new discovery, and that’s beyond exciting!

Hey Stef Congrats on the Colonial Cuff Link. Awesome. I've only ever found a pair of Cuff Links once. They are beautiful. Yours are just priceless to me. Right on. Congrats on the Copper also. Pat you'll find a Holed Coin I know it. Hope you video it when it happens. Congrats on you Trime and Half Dime Pat. I've been detecting for 16 years the three Coins I haven't found yet are a Trime, Half Dime, and a 2 Cent Piece. I'll be lucky if I ever find one of those considering where I live. Take Care Stef and Pat.

Really, what are the odds of finding two of a kind Colonial Cufflinks possibly GW at different times? The odds I imagine not great! It just go to show any and everything is possible in metal detecting, like them boxes of chocolate, you never know what you're going to find! Congrats Stef, I believe you have GW Cufflinks, and a nice KG ll to go along with the possible find of the year! Keep on digging and I'll catch you on the next. ✌️ 😊

@@kimetherington2252 thank you! Yup, the odds are really slim to find both halves of a cufflink that has been separated - I’ve only done it one other time at a cellar hole (much smaller area to work) maybe 5 years ago, and they certainly weren’t GW cufflinks lol. I’ve talked to another knowledgable person since the video dropped, and he believes it’s a copper alloy version of the silver GW cufflinks in the video - another vote for George! 😊

Stef, virtually every item you dig (at least those you record) is far better than anything I can find. It is difficult for me to understand why you don't have ten times the subscribers. Even before you recognized the cufflink as a probable match, I was thinking what a great find!

Thank you! Unfortunately a lot of major “influencers” buy subscribers and views. As I always say though, it all comes out at the rallies. Like you, I wish I knew exactly what it was.
