Whatever money you make off these videos isn't enough. You deserve to be a billionaire by now who can open up a Chipotle site in the middle of all your Impossible routes. I can't tell you how many times I've seen each episode training for my first Unbound 200 miler. SO motivating and inspirational. I couldn't hit my training goals without them.

If they'd have called it "cyclocross" and he looked it up he might not have come - "hikabiking" is much more friendly term for basically biking through the jungle AND the mountains.

The only thing that hurts watching Tyler's short doc videos is to see how few subscribers his channel has. He might not be the best cyclist, the best videographer or the best story teller but I have no doubt he's the best of all 3. He puts so much in these videos that it just hurts seeing how few subscribers he has compared with other related channels. After every video I watch, all I wanna do is to jump on my bike and go out. Chapeau Tyler!
@TheVCAdventures Жыл бұрын
I appreciate that, and i think it comes down to the DONT appeal to the MASS AUDIENCE. If I did short cheezy prank videos, I’d get more views, but I wouldn’t be proud of what we created. I’m very proud of these films.

I'm doing my own "Impossible Route" tomorrow, taking the gravel bike and riding the course of our local 100 mile trail run (with 16k feet climbing!). It is one massively huge step for me over what I normally do. This video should be some good inspiration, I was planning on re-watching Death Valley or Texas before I saw this show up.

Thank you for making this! I've ridden almost all the trails you did in this video, definitely not in 36 hours, but the Dark Divide is one of my favorite places in the PacNW. The entire Gifford Pinchot is just wildly magical and supernatural in a way nowhere else quite compares to. Watching you experience the same places I've experienced and have the same emotional reaction was validating and brought a tear to my eye. Watching this motivated me to pack the backcountry skis into my car, take a personal day off work, and head up here to do some backcountry skiing in the DD.

Well, I think it comes down to the fact that the only time we see each other, it’s under the worst possible conditions. The stress levels are always so high and discomfort is so great, that we can butt ends a bit. But that will happen with anyone if you do 9 impossible routes together, these things are rough.

I recognized a bunch of the trails from having ridden them before and I gotta agree with you - nothing in my life put me on a trajectory to be out in the middle of a volcano or in the dark divide on a bike, alone, with no cell service, just riding and taking in the majesty of the PNW. I'm glad I am where I am, and i'm thankful that you guys showed what real XC/touring is like out in the PNW. Many times i've thought "I don't even like hiking yet here I am, pushing a fucking bike up this mountain" I'm gonna stop calling it hiking and start calling it mountaineering.
