Yup, simple solutions. Back in the days when computers were simple (early 2000s) someone had a printer that wouldn't work. He called a computer guy to take a look at it. The guy checked the software, the connection to the printer and computer. Nothing worked. I was asked to take a look at it. I did the same thing as the other guy and nada, zippo, zilck, nyet. But i went a step further. I opened the computer and checked the printer port connection to the motherboard. Yup, it was disconnected.

Oh those were the days.... Ever get a Help Desk call for a malfunctioning "cup holder?" The CD load tray wouldn't eject for our user to put his coffee mug on it--as though it could have supported a heavy mug of hot coffee in any event. I so very much wanted to help him succeed and just wear the contents instead.

I have defragged several times back in the day. It took time for the processor to remove all that space and temporary files. Thank goodness those days are over!

@@suzanallan5440 Ever get a Hell Desk call for "Where is the *Any Key*?" It still is a user defined standard text in my label printer (fits nicely on most space bars).

The blatant disregard for propper anything is so funny! Thank you. I know a guy who once retracked a tank with four rolls of shrink wrap and a flexible exhaust hose. No kidding. He had every one use all their stringth to get the two ends as close as possible then shrink wrapped the pieces, then gently heat it with the exhaust and it pulled close enough to start driving a drift pin in. Brilliant thinking outside box {the big box, the very, very, big box}

YEA sometimes a bit more respect might do us good. Like there was a poilish farmer that found an old ww 2 bomb that was unexploded and decided to use it as an amboss. It went well for months untill1 day it didn´t and him and his house where gone.
