When you think about it, the Yokai are very similar to the Jotnar from Norse Myth, coming in all sorts of shapes and sizes, from human-like, to animal to monsters. Some are evil and chaotic while some are worshipped as gods.

Sup brotha' All the gods and demons across our cultures are the same beings simply called different things by different peoples. Even YHWH isn't an original and has his story borrowed by Judaism from a more ancient god of the true plurality of Elohim, one of the Anunnaki. Alas, Nanna is Aphrodite, who is Venus, who is Ishtar, who is Inanna, and surely many others. All floods myths describe the same event. All apocalypses are a vision of the future. Unify all and you will see all.

They are nephilims offspring of fallen angels they are all over the world, they are cursed they have no body because their body is dead but they will continue to live her on earth as evil spirits so they wonder on earth until the end of earth but they won't belong to the new earth or paradise on judgement day their faith is already decided. They have different forms and live in elemental places they can even make their own community but we will not see them unless they want to be seen. They can even disguise their true form to humans. It's in the book of enoch, they dont look good in true form because they are evil

Kami are not necessarily gods nor are they monsters, they are more like nature given form. There are gods sure, but they are described as beings of pure form in the older ones and natural phenomena given form of later iterations

2:43 My favorite yokai will always be The Tengu or also known as The Daitengu or Konoha Tengu and as well The Karasutengu which are represented more in a bird-like appearance with the head of a raven, with claw-like hands and feet, and with sharp teeth. Although I do like as well The Oni as my second favorite yokai in Japanese Mythology.

I've read the best way to deal with a hostile kappa is simply bow to it. Kappas are said to be very polite, and they will return the favor and bow as well. When it does, it will spill the water from the depression on it's head and left in a relatively helpless state
