My 19 yr old son is autistic and I truly believe developmentally disabled people have a free ticket to Heaven. My son cannot comprehend the existence of God. He’s verbal in that he can get his needs met using words. Our blessing is knowing our special needs children will someday be perfect in Heaven while so many other parents fear for theirs. Our struggle is great ! The sacrifices are difficult. Having to put up with evil people is sometimes unbearable. But the Reward will be Magnificent !! Worth it all. Come Lord Jesus !!

When Jesus spoke these words ... where did He go afterward? To the CROSS. And after that He came back just like He said He would! The cross "prepared a place for you". Most people read these words of Jesus like He spoke them after the resurrection. He actually spoke them BEFORE the resurrection.

The "Go to prepare a place for you" is what Jewish husbands did, before coming back (they were allowed up to a year to build a marital home) to take their wife to them and thus complete the marriage. Their 'betrothal' was the formal exchange of solemn vows as the first part of the marriage (rather than our 'engagement' which is just an intent). Mary and Joseph were formally betrothed when Mary conceived Jesus, and the angel assured Joseph that it was okay to take Mary home with him as his wife to complete the second half of their marriage. The Father's house is where his presence is. The many rooms represent the dwelling of the children of God (us) with the Trinity. Christ will come and take us to him to complete our spiritual marriage, i.e. the Trinity will come and dwell within us so that we will be enabled to do the Father's will perfectly on Earth as it is in Heaven.

The true meaning of a word is determined by its context. The world could mean literally the world or idiomatically as to mean the world as is fallen and against the will of God. Jesus also said the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.

I did have a bit of a startle several times when it seemed he believes Jesus came to understand scriptures by hearing them in synagogue or being taught by anyone at all in Israel 2,000+ years ago. I believe He heard them in synagogue, but while he may have been taught by Joseph but-he’s Jehovah of the OT!! I believe he remembered more and more as He grew and he learned from Heavenly Father via Far closer communication with Him than we’re going to have here. After all, not only was He so deeply knowledgeable that at 12 he stunned teachers in the temple, Jesus profoundly felt the loss of that communication and presence on the cross. I believe He knows ALL scripture perfectly because He gave them,

John 14:2-3 "In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." - Here Jesus is telling that that initially, our home will be in Heaven (either via death or the Rapture - see 1 &2 Thessalonians), but then Rev 19 tells us that we will be coming back to earth with him at the Second Coming (at the end of the Tribulation or the Time of Jacobs Trouble - See Daniel; Jeremiah and Matthew et.al.) and then Rev 20 shows that Satan will be bound while we will rule with Jesus on this Earth (which will be renovated see Isaiah etc, so not a new creation at this point, that comes later) for 1,000 years, but after that Satan will be released for one last time and people will either choose to follow him or follow the LORD and then there will be a Great White Throne Judgement after which Rev 21:14 says " And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death". So Sin and Death are finally defeated and it is only then that the New Creation you are talking about will come to pass with John stating in Rev 21:1-3 " And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. " So God will live with man in a new creation, but only after our time with Him in Heaven, either when we die or are Raptured; and after our time ruling and reigning with Him here on this existing but renovated earth for 1,000 years. It will finally be on a new Heaven and Earth. NOTE--- the Feasts of the Lord yet to be fulfilled are a foreshadow of that. Jesus fulfilled the first 4 perfectly in His first coming and will fulfil the remaining 4 in His second coming - (1) PASSOVER - Jesus atoning death on the cross; (2) FEAST of UNLEAVENED BREAD - Jesus purged our sins in the hear of the earth in our place; (3) FEAST of FIRST FRUITS - Jesus' Sacrifice like the 'First Fruits' of a Harvest were waved before the LORD to see if they would be acceptable to God the Father, which they were; (4) FEAST OF WEEKS or Pentecost - the Church was born when God the Holy Spirit come upon people in power; (5) FEAST OF TRUMPETS (RAPTURE); (5) DAY OF ATONEMENT (SECOND COMING / JUDGEMENT DAY); (6) FEAST OF TABERNACLES (the MILLENIUM); (4) EIGHTH DAY or Shmini Atzeret - Eternity. You don’t understand the Pauling language that uses Roman processional imagery. It is not that we are raptured, it is that we go to meet Him as He returns. We join Him on earth. The only real question is the definition of paradise and the Lazarus (the poor man) story. BTW, a careful analysis of Luke would seem that John the Baptizer could have been born during Passover and Jesus was born during the feast of tabernacles.

What are you folks thinking hosting this guy? As a born again Christain I will escape the wrath of God being poured on earth during the tribulation. We will be taken out of this world for 7 years ( Jocobs trouble meaning the descipline of Isreal) and then we return to earth as Jesus's bride. This gentleman is using alot of over your head theology. We will rule and rain here on earth "after" the tribulation. I haven't heard him say anything about either one of these things. I don't agree with this man. The rapture of the church , the tribulation, and Christ's return is supported by scripture. He's bending scripture and leaving things out. YES! I reluctantly watched this prepared to shred it in the comments. Instead, it was great. Listen to 15:27-15:55 again. That is already fulfilled in part in the Reformation. In Revelation 9 we have the fall of Constantinople (Imperial Rome) in 1453. In 1455, just two years later we have the first Bible printed. It was the little book from the Angel's hand in Revelation 10. Then in Revelation 11:14-15 We have the reformation. Revelation is all in sequence. People do not rightly divide between the use of the word heaven in the bible and the use of the phrase kingdom of heaven. They are not the same. Then they fall victim to translator caused confusion, by heaven being translated in some places as other words like air. The bible is very clear what is in heaven: birds, clouds, lightning, stars. It essential means that which is above earth. Our best translation is actually "sky". The kingdom of heaven should really be called "sky kingdom". Because the dwelling of God and angels is in the sky, and the kingdom is God's. It is therefore the kingdom OF heaven just as it is the Kingdom OF God. It is in a sense of ownership or sovereignty not of location. The bible clearly indicates the kingdom of heaven was, is and shall be on earth.

I love N T Wright. As an Orthodox believer, he helps put Orthodox faith into different but quite compatible terms. I’d disagree with one of the hosts who said, It begins with the Cross. I think we must affirm that it begins with the Incarnation, with that “Be it done to me according to your word” Yes of the Virgin Mary. The Cross is foreshadowed throughout Christ’s earthly life, and He confronts Sin, Death & the Devil from the start, though in reverse order. Also, the Church hasn’t got it wrong for 2,000 years. She who is “the pillar and ground of the Truth” and the “temple of the Holy Spirit” isn’t going to get that wrong. Maybe significant parts in the West have done so. But thanks to God for this great conversation, and corrective to American evangelicalism.

Thanks for the interview. N.T. Wright points out that it is Plutarch, who suggested that humans in the present life are “exiled” from their true “home” in “heaven.” Avoiding Middle Platonism, C.S. Lewis was kind of an anti-Plato Platonist in his description of the new heavens in the Narnia "'Last Battle" book. The church father Ireneaus once wrote: “The glory of God is a human fully alive and beholding the vision of God.” In rejecting a middle Platonic slightly Gnostic view, Ireneaus had in beatific vision of creation spirituality, one that also includes first article gifts - both now and not yet. If I understand Wright correctly, in heaven, there is a construction process going on. Some of the saints will already had their glorified bodies, as they are the first fruits of those redeemed from the realm of the dead. The saints appearing in Jerusalem at the death of Jesus would fit into this category. Most in heaven will have souls clothed with a temporal body. In this case, it would be somewhat analogous to having a temporary crown for one's teeth. There might very well be a foretaste of the feast to come with food and wine being sampled for the wedding feast of the Lamb. I'll be exploring this theme of the new cosmos in my upcoming apologetics video on Papias and his description that he heard from the disciples of Jesus about a future eschatological vineyard. Among other things, I'll be exploring how Eusebius dismissed Papias due his (Eusebius) middle Platonic view.

I too, thought he was “making & preparing” our place elsewhere, until someone encouraged me to look at Jewish wedding traditions… “I go to prepare a place for you” is a reference to what the groom would do, prepare a place for he & his bride to live, and it was built onto the father’s house. To NT Wright’s point, God made creation HERE, he made the garden of Eden HERE, in order to live with us HERE… (by way of speaking it into existence). So where has He gone, and where is He now? Awaiting all the fullness of the Gentiles to come into the church (the Bride). And then, not long from now, He will come back, and restore all things.

Read in context, Jesus is going to the Cross to prepare a place (not location, but relation) for you that where He is, (in relation to the Father), we may be also. We often interpret John 14 as if it was said before His Accension, but it was before Calvary.

He says that heaven is a Jewish word, or perhaps a way of explaining God's kingdom. Kingdom means the idea of how something should be. Anyway, NT Wright says that when we die we will be not in heaven but in some sort of state of peace. Heaven will be established here on Earth and that means that there will be a new creation. A new heaven and a new earth. That's what NT Wright believes and I couldnt agree more. Yes there is hope as was resurrected

I know it’s silly but I really wondered at the , no more sea verse. I love surfing and the sea. Was hoping for eternal perfect waves and white sands, with crystal clear water. Like I said it’s silly so don’t dog pile on me with righteous indignation because my priorities are wrong. When I was younger also hoped to fly, visit the stars and have long talks with the apostles, maybe David and Enoch as well. Also pictured it with a day of perfect spring weather, a gathering of friends and family with a picnic that has incredible fried chicken, followed by some football or laying in silken soft vibrantly green grass. Just feeling the light and love of the lord in everything, 24/7. Ok sorry, I get excited about it, so I’m done babbling

Someone please paraphrase his explanation. Am I getting this right in that Wright saying literally that there isn't a Heaven? Is he saying because Jesus rose from the dead, A New Creation of heaven will be on earth? The world will be judged in fire as it was in the days of noah with water. 2 Peter 3:10 says this and the old creation will pass away. There will be a new earth made perfect and heaven will come down to the new earth and God himself will dwell amongst man for eternity.

Jesus was very clear, yet most churches still think he is going to set up a literal kingdom here! I believe much of this belief comes from the wording in many new versions of the Bible which say 'Lo I am with you always, even until the end of the 'age', where the KJV says 'until the end of the 'world'. The book of Revelation says our final resting place is on the new Earth in the new Jerusalem where God will come down from heaven and live with us and be our God. So I wonder why is everyone so concerned with what Heaven looks like when it's just a temporary dwelling place until we move into the new Jerusalem? Why are people so fascinated with something that is going away? "Heaven and Earth are passing away" - Jesus.

In Hebrew, He is “Elohim” and to Catholics and Protestants “Yahweh”. In Latin, “Jehovah” is used. Who He really is the numerical Tetragrammaton, “YHVH” reveals the name. Using the English alphabet “A through Z”, their positions can be represented numerical as “1 through 26” frontwards and backwards, such that you end up two numbers for each letter. “Y” represented by “25” and “2”, “H” “8” and “19”, “W” as “23” and “4” and a repeat of the letter “H”. Nobody will ever steal again, fornicate, you won't need a password on your computer or key for your car. Nobody will ever be homosexual or commit adultery. It's going to be amazing as God created it. And it would be completely unfair to the rest of us who do live by his commands to have to live with those who do not. I don't want people stealing from me or a wife that cheats on me. He trusted in Christ to raise him up on the Resurrection, and so No Doubt He too will be Restored and Made New, despite being turned to dust. Some are born with body parts completely missing and Jesus showed Glimpses of the Resurrection in his restoration of Sight ti the Blind, and when we see a Lame Man Healed who was Lame from Birth. ? I'm sorry but what this man in the interview is expressing IS the exact same belief that most prophecy teachers here in America also believe? That the Kingdome of God already started with the believer who have received the Holy Spirit. That Eternal Life is NOW when you received the Holy Spirit and you became a believer, NOT at a future point during the rapture or the resurrection but NOW when you became a believer. The Church IS the bride of Christ that is the model for the people of the New Jerusalem that is being built for us and prepared for us in Heaven right now. The Church will leave briefly at some point during the RAPTURE event and will be back after the TRIBULATION period is complete, TO EARTH, where we will remain forever until the New Heaven and the New Earth comes after the 1000 milleniel reign. This is also in line with the teaching of DISPENSATIONALISM. Not sure why you people in the interview are saying what this guy is teaching is different? Not truly understanding that part at all.
